Yes, its been 25 years now since the classic '77 US prog Hands "same" lp.
Has anyone heard this Shroom release?

Yes. I own it.
It's not nearly as good as the '70s version of the band. Not as frantic. Still, it's a nice listen once in a while.

I quite enjoy it. As Joe suggests, they lay back a little on the gas pedal, but it's still a 7 out of 10 in my books. Some great instrumental sections, a little quirkiness in places, more than passable singing. I recommend it.
I picked up Strangelet recently, their most recent release (2008) and it follows a similar pattern to 25 Winters. Contains some good stuff - how can you go wrong with a cd that has a song titled "Entry of the Shiny Beasts"?

I really like it, and I'm not a fan of the usual "friendly" retro-neoprog (Flower Beards etc.). I'd love to get Strangelet, but I'm not into downloading and want something physical to squeeze and use for coasters.

I actually like it better than the 70's album I have.
