Thurston lives here in my town (Northampton MA), as does his ex-wife Kim Gordon, who I often see at breakfast at the Greenbean (she looks pretty good for a woman of a certain age!)

That said, this really sucks. It always pisses me off hearing about musicians' gear being stolen. It seems to happen so often.

The last time I saw Sonic Youth, he spent 15 minutes dragging a cheap guitar across the stage floor by a broken string and calling it a song. ;)
