View Full Version : Selective Quote function?

One thing that I miss that was awesome in the old site was the highlight and quote function. As far as I can tell this one just quotes the entire post and then you have to delete what you don't want. This happens on Yesfans and some of those things are HUGE and a real hassle to edit down to the relevant text. Is there a way to replicate the old function I'm missing??

I agree.
But that function is only available if we make a change to the source code.
I'm avoiding any changes to source code because we want to be able to migrate to newer versions as they become available.
I have submitted a request for "partial quotes" to be included in an upcoming version. Let's see.,..

The other good thing about the highlighted quoting was that you could easily respond to several different people's posts at once.

I miss it too. I actually found myself highlighting what I wanted to quote when I was on another forum and then getting pissed off when I realized I couldn't do it there...and that's a forum that I moderate! LOL!

You can do that. Play with the icon at the bottom-right-hand corner of each post.
