Hi all,

I'm looking for the Czech band Extempore. I have recently found 'The City' and it tastes for more:
- Milá Ctyr Viselcu (A Beloved Girl of Four Hanged Men 1977
- Ebonitovy Samotar 1978
- Punk 1979
- Zabíjacka 1979

Trading would be nice, buying is an option, otherwise helping out would be nice too.

PLease mail me off-list: rio-grant@xs4all.nl

Cheers,
Peter

Ebonitovy Samotar is my favorite of theirs and among my top albums over all. Extempore performed it only two or maybe three times, I think, and the available recording is a live from one of them. I think it's great, though, the other concert was IMO even better. It's packed full of strong musical ideas, and since each part was written by a different member of the band it offers also good variety. Understanding the lyrics and knowing a little bit of the background (life under commumism) also adds a little to the fun... I also like the balance between Neduha's (lead voc, bck guitar) and Chadima's (sax, voc) controling influence. I like Extempore's later "programs" Zabijacka a Velkomesto as well, but I miss Neduha's input.
