What issue is that? And what is "dama viajera" - "Lady Ace"?
A few that come to mind:

Coincidentally, both are IMO better than the more well-known versions.

Wow! Never knew of this German Procol "Home". Any idea what year this is?
(Of course there is the well-known "green" alternate cover for procol harum 'Shine On Brightly")
...
Lev: it is Argentinian Vertigo . tracklist in Spanish. Isnt there a track on that orig. lp called "TRAVELLING Lady"??

↑↑↑That’s the Mirage cover I’m familiar with.
The totally cheesy US cover to Moonmadness:
http://static.rateyourmusic.com/album_images/s284888.jpg (http://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/camel/moonmadness_f2/)
Speaking of, did Janus Records have some sort of moral objection to using a band’s original cover art? They changed all of Kayak’s album covers, too (even See See the Sun, which was released by Harvest, had a different cover in the US).
My first copy of Amon Düül II’s Phallus Dei looked like this:

What is it with alternate covers, anyway? Why can't everything have just one cover?
Sometimes I think record companies do it on purpose, because they know that it will attract collectors.

Then there are the real tricksters - same lp but different coverart AND LP TITLE. Uriah Heep first " 'eavy n' 'umble" (or summat like that) and the Canadian press "same" with the Vernon nightmare creature purple & silver foc.
I think there is a Schultze one like this - Body Love?
Speaking of Schultze , the first one had three different covers.

Nice "Amoeni Recivivi" Immediate UK ? Beautiful Dean-like coverart with a white-haired, caped, demon-eyed keyboardist . Think it was a sampler of first two lps.
Daffodil Immediate series were all silver foil covers, all different coverarts. All had this Aubrey Beardsley -type art nouveau art.

Oh God, those alternate Charly Gong covers are some of the most hideous ones imaginable. The Flying Teapot one is not bad (because it slightly resembles the original cover) but the rest...yuck! Especially that second You cover, which looks like it came from a kindergarten art class!

I have to go out now, but I am thinking Chicago Billingsgate label or Cosmos (Peters Int.???) label (Secret Oyster,Gary Moore Band,Ossana,Orme,Sahara) must have had some alternates.
Maybe someone could look those up?
Two rare ones that I had in the collection but foolishly got rid of ,never to find again, were Canadian (coffin) press of Pretty Things "SF Sorrow" and Bomb Label of first ...oh shit. Forget the band now. Was German prog.

I didn’t bother, as the Gold Rock series basically used the same stock cover with different band pictures stuck in the curved hole in the fabric.

I suppose they did this rerelease, because Wolfgang Riechmann had died, before the release of his solo-album. They changed the order of the songs and left out one song.
When I heard Wunderbar for the first time, I thought Wolfgang Riechmann knew he would be dead soon. I did know he was dead, but I didn't know what had caused it. Much later I learned he was beaten to death.

That is the "Cyborg" coverart I have. Much prefer it to the origional.
Then there is the English version of Banco’s " Come in un’ultima cena", but coverart is same.
That Cinevox reissue of "Suspiria" is basically the origional coverart????
I am almost sure there was even a plainer version of that alternate "Ammerland" on Bomb label Canadian press.

Hertz au Glas - I recently watched the film for the first time. Herzog had most of the actors put in trance to film this. (Except the scene with the glassblowers - those were real glassblowers and its dangerous enough work without having them tranced!) Herzog had to direct the cameramen etc in a different voice than the tranced actors.

I always thought the 1.001 Degrees Centigades one was kind of cool, even though Vander despises it.
I agree, it’s far cooler than the boring, gray Magma 2 cover.
How you getting your piccies to be all the same size?
I’m just using the rateyourmusic coding.

That's how it works when you pick "From URL" and "Retrieve remote file and reference locally" using the Insert Image toolbar button.

PYTHAGORAS very rare alternate cover
MESSAGE-same 3rd lp
MOTHERS - german
EARTH & FIRE - same Japan
The Pythagoras cover is the original one, which is also used for the CD. A former friend of mine did the alternative cover with the bird, which also came in two versions. The first was a black drawing on a white background, but by a printing mistake, the next batch was a white drawing on a black background. I have both this, and the original cover. Alas I can't find the alternative cover on internet.
The cover had to be replaced, because the artist who did the original drawing, used for the cover, wouldn't give his permission. Things seems to have changed, since the CD comes in the original cover.
The group decided to use the drawing, without asking the artist for his permission, because they thought he wouldn't see it. Alas, the artist who did the drawing, used for the original cover, came to live in The Hague and saw his drawing in the window of the recordstore, the drummer owned.

Interesting to know.
So then my personal copy is the "common" black drawing on white back.
Any variation on "After the Silence" lp?

Rainbow band recorded this album twice with this cover - the difference was mainly the singer, but also a few tunes:
670
Then there was a lawsuit by a canadian band about the name, and they changed name to Midnight sun and released this album again - with this cover:
671

Colosseum: Valentyne Suite

Released in the USA as The Grass is Always Greener, not 100% the same tunes, and a few tunes was from a different take. The cover was basicly the same except from the title. But they put a green filter on so text and photo got 'greenified'.

On the cd version with both albums, they changed the original pink'ish letters to white'ish.

Thanks for the postings in this thread. It's been interesting to check in on it every couple days to see the lp covers and alternates. Won't be posting in the thread myself, but wanted you to know your efforts have been appreciated.

Thanks Don. Means a lot to me.
....
About Rainbow Band - I was meaning to bring this one up. Racking my brains, to no avail. Memory is going. Not a fine state of affairs for a prog masterman.
An oddity I have in the collection is the South Korean press of SANDROSE.
The coverart is sort of Persian motif.
(I searched the web for a piccy , but there does not appear to be any anywhere.)
Hope it does show up this time (didn't work the last.
