Robert Fripp and Toyah tackle Kashmir (apparently with the approval of Robert Plant, who was in the audience)

This is a cover of Rush's Jacob's Ladder by Imperial Triumphant...

How did I forget about this most excellent R&B/rock version of "Free Ride"? A minor hit that should have been much bigger!

Maybe posted before: Because Of You, originally by Giraffe (written by Kevin Gilbert and Stan Cotey), now "performed" by Kyros on the album Recover (which also contains a Genesis-cover):

Actually, the Genesis cover is surprisingly good -- especially the drumming.

And they are "defenders of the Indefensible" with their cover of Rush's Force 10 !

Sounds better than I would have expected, based on 'Heaven must be missing an angel'.

Posted with no comment. Other, obviously, than the one saying that there is no comment, and this one.

The best part of that was when it ended.

Though the moments before the end were the next best part with the chorale.

Fish On Friday covers Fame (or better: Overture To Flame and Flame) from the first Metro-album on their new CD 8mm:

As you can hear it's almost a copy.

This is the working-version, which has a lot more energy and a voice of its own:

Watched the movie 1917 yesterday and was moved by the song I Am a Poor Wayfaring Stranger, sung by Jos Slovick. This traditional has been covered many many times, even by Birdsongs Of The Mesozoic (see https://secondhandsongs.com/work/68472/versions)
This a cappella is really moving. It's strange though it wasn't included on the soundtrack-CD; after many requests it was released as a 3-track download, including version with Craig Leon. I've included both versions:

Thanks for the link! Yes, this is a beautiful version. Some of the comments below the clip are heartbreaking:

I am 97yr old. I have heard this song from so many artists. This version is the very best, if there's a heaven I have to believe this is the voice we will hear and will be heard by me someday

Martha and the Muffins cover the Buffalo Springfield-song For What's It's Worth with a strong video (watch the visit to the record-store):

Good to hear from M&M again.

It's kind of unexpected to find a cover of such an obscure song! Yes, it's that Spring Song by Gryphon.

Not sure I've ever heard anyone cover Jon Hassell before.

A truly hideous bit of (as Ben Minnotte calls it) Carlos-sploitation, courtesy of the Partridge Family's ghost keyboardist, Mike Melvoin:
