This is interesting, but it's four hours long and should be taken in doses.
On his "Ridiculously Self-Indulgent Ill-Advised Tour" last year, Weird Al Yankovic played a different cover song every night as part of his encore. Whether you like Weird Al or not, sample some of this stuff, not because any given cover is brilliant, but because as a whole it shows how amazingly versatile his band is.

"In the Air Tonight" by Lil' Kim. I don't know if this is considered a true cover or not since Phil Collins is sampled extensively in the song.

I think I heard Sandy Denny's cover of Elton John's Candle In The Wind before I heard the original.
Although Denny left the folk-rock on Rendezvous I really love her voice on these songs.

I love covers. Bullcrap about stealing other people's creativity. If that's all an artist did was cover, ok, maybe I'd get it. But if an artist has done all their own work, but decide once in a blue moon to do a cover... I dig it. Here's the best one ever. Italy's Universal Totem Orchestra, covering Hawkwind. It's fuckin brilliant. Quit early on this at your own loss.
Another cover on the Rendezvou-album (which contains mostly Denny's own songs) is Richard Thompson's I Wish I Was A Fool For You:
