Had to look this up at Wikipedia. I wasn't aware that they finally included Tour De France on an album...TWENTY YEARS after they originally recorded it! I kinda lost track of what was going on with Kraftwerk after Electric Café.

Wasn't CCR's "up around the bend" about racing?

I thought it was just about getting out in the open. "Up around the bend" I took as a metaphor for getting into unfamiliar territory.

Do you know, I own that album, and I forgot it existed? They really should have chosen a different cover. (It's the exact same as the 12" single, except with the word, 'Soundtracks' added.)

I Don't Want To Play Football ~ Belle and Sebastian. Pretty much sums up how I feel about it as well

    I suppose these:

    Caravan - Golf Girl
Yes - Going For The One
    Ethos - Marathon Man

far from favorite songs from their respective albums.

If I could choose 'Traveling' by the band 'Tennis' I would, but the song is not about basketball or tennis

Rod The Mod's original ambition was apparently to be a footballer. But apparently he never got past the trials, and thus had to fall back on his plan B, which apparently was music.

Read his autobiography recently and yes, he did think he might have a future in it at one point in his life. According to the book he has continued to play in pick up / club games throughout his life.

Here's a wonderful, strange, horrifying little song about windsurfing:

I'm reading The Amazing Hockey Quiz Book that a friend gave me, and there's this question: "Which Tragically Hip song immortalizes the 1951 overtime Stanley Cup-winner goal scored by the Maple Leafs' Bill Barilko?"

    Answer: this...

You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...
