Spent most of the night watching the NFL Draft, but also managed to fit in:

    (First listens, all)

Submarine Silence -There's Something Very Strange In Her Little Room Modern Italian Prog-Rock that takes it's cue from 70s UK artists, most notably Genesis. Bonus points for drawing from Trespass/A Trick Of The Tail, but this has absolutely no national flavor, and while not a clone, doesn't compare favorably to their influences. Pretty mediocre, and not really recommended.

Terrenio Baldio -s/t This is more like it. Excellent Brazilian Prog-Rock that ranks among the best of that nation's albums that I've yet heard. Has that smoothness, the taking off of sharp corners that I've heard on other good Brazilian Progressive Rock albums. Recommended.

Rod Stewart -Never A Dull Moment Not his best, but very good. Light years away from his late 70s commercial dreck.

In fact, actually nothing can be so damn inspired in painting my country's nowadays APOCALYPTIC picture, other than this Caetano's first track off of his very first solo effort (Caetano Veloso.) Although recorded in 1967, no other music these days would fit so perfectly context-wise. Nevertheless, it is even more damn pitiful that Caetano Veloso today seems to have sprung to the opposite side, while today just nothing is left of that former Tropicalia movement which has long ago been left astray, for the glory of the opposite side... Yeah, "this is the end.. my only friend, the end...."
