Just listened to that CD the other day! I agree that it doesn't achieve the heights of Battlement but I like it well enough. BTW, it's technically their first album recording-wise, just wasn't released until many years later.

Rag n Bone Man, aww pls have listen. Not prog but who cares, it's good! Really, listen especially from 0.50 to 1.10. that chorus kills it beautiful, he has a beautiful raw vulnerable voice, not perfect but very special, you can he feel him without all that usual reverb. xx have a listen for yourself xxx

another track of his also amazing great

    Tonight's menu:

Arti + Mestieri -Tilt - Immagini Per Un Orecchio ...A stone cold classic.
Bornidol -2 ...Driving, organ led Prog-Rock. Not much light and shade, like one comes to expect from the Italians. OK, but there's so much better coming out of Italy now.
LogoS -L'Enigma Della Vita ...Symphonic Progressive. I had high hopes for this one after previewing a track or so, but it's only middling. They are let down by some heavy handed, plodding drum work. The guitarist isn't great either, but that would be easier to overlook if the drumming was better.

Based on the aggresiveness of their latest works, the new album by Pez is a faithful reflection of the current status of the group, something that can be perfectly appreciated at their live in-concert presentations. Featuring diverse tracks from their vast trajectory, and their renowned very own style, which has gone on to influence a plethora of new generations of musicians.

Attention Deficit - The Idiot King

ATTENTION DEFICIT is Michael MANRING (from Michael Hedges) on bass, Tim ALEXANDER (ex-PRIMUS) on drums, and Alex SKOLNICK (from Testament) on guitar.

Maybe worth a thread of their own...

    Good call: great record!

Saw Michael Manring 3 or 4 times here in Costa Rica; had a really deepest conversation about Michael Hedges and music: great human being!!.

    For example:

    The De Mania Trio:
Alex de Grassi - steel string guitars, sympitar
Michael Manring - hyperbass, fretless bass, fretted bass
Christopher Garcia - tabla, kanjira, olla, Paiste Cymbals, percussion

    Solo, 2014:

    An special appearance:
Michael graciously filmed himself recording his bass solo for River, one of the songs of Time´s Forgotten´s album the "Book of Lost Words".

    Pura vida!!.

I mentioned this band in another thread and of course, I had to listen to them. 7for4, founded by Wolfgang Zenk of Sieges Even (Sophisticated and Uneven).
