Just got my Preternatural European Special Edition cd. First listen I'm surprised and pleased. My take on it is a strip down of Preternatural, add in a few new parts, add in some other languages sung by M's or others, creating a newer amalgam of modern styles. It's reminiscent of Preternatural yet something new, another style of sound from Moulettes. Before it came in the mail today, I'd happened to play their earlier work, The Bear's Revenge, and was taken with how different that was from Preternatural, and now Preternatural ESE, is another Moulette evolution, or at least a highly modified alternate version Preternaural..

I have not contributed to this forum in years (sorry, so much stuff in the way - life, family, and gradually becoming a bigger Doctor Who fan than a prog fan), but just started catching up with the available albums on Progstreaming.nl, and HOLY CRAP THIS STUFF IS SUPER AWESOME! Discovered Bent Knee the same way, and these guys are kind of like a British Bent Knee (or maybe Bent Knee is like an American Moulettes?).

Several songs are very much like Gentle Giant: The Next Generation, and this seems to have been the case since before Jim Mortimore joined, so he just so happened to be an awesome fit.

I'm definitely planning to share with as many people as I can manage, and sending way too many piles of money their way.

The Moulettes are playing at the Summerfolk Festival in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canadahttp://summerfolk.org/ on Friday, Aug 18. They are also playing in B.C. Canada. No U.S. dates again...

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

I haven't seen them yet, I'm coming round to the idea of a Canada trip to see them.

I'm thinking about going to see them at the festival if there aren't any shows booked closer but be aware that Owen Sound is about a 2 hour drive north of Toronto.

If you plan on going, you would be wise to book a room now, they are selling out fast...

They are doing a tour of Canada in October - starting in Quebec and ending in Vancouver.

Highly recommend seeing them if you can.

Do it Ian! It's a great venue, made for music and good dining...I don't return from Gorgg in Albuquerque until late on the 9th, otherwise you could stay at my place and maybe check out the basement.
