Even if some of the attendees were on comp tickets, that is a nice turnout and wonderful to see them in an actual theatre, with great acoustics and sound.

This version of the ensemble had four players. The leader, Hannah Moule on cello, and the other three on: cello/guitar, viola/piano and violin. The music was wonderfully eclectic, with everything from improvised, avant instrumentals to a Joni Mitchell cover, with all the players really paying attention to and feeding off of each other. It is really hard for me to compare last night's music to anything else out there.

Definitely do see them on this tour, if you have the chance.

Just saw a notice that Moulettes will be playing at Hugh's Room in Toronto in February - so hurry and get your tickets before they're gone.
