Finished season 2 of The Boys tonight. This show is one of the best series I have seen in a long time. Really dug it and can’t wait for season 3.
I finished all of Cobra Kai last weekend. Excited for Season 4.
I'll probably make a video on my YouTube channel soon about the show.
I also want to see the Pat Morita doc "More than Miyagi" soon which is on Amazon Prime for $4-$5.
I'm now giving The Expanse another shot after struggling through the 1st season at times. I'm on the 2nd episode of the Season 2. Hoping to finish it before the Season 6 premiere in December.
I had the exact same experience with The Expanse and eventually made it back to season 2. Since then I've binged all remaining seasons and do hereby proclaim the show one of the best SciFi series ever. in short, go for it, you won't regret it. Final season starts December 22.

We're about halfway through Only Murders in the Building, the comedy on Hulu starring Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez.
If you're a fan at all of Martin and/or Short, you'd probably enjoy this.

I'm three episodes into The Squid Game. Wow. Pretty riveting.

Pretty jazzed about Sunday nights for a while now, with new seasons of Succession and Curb Your Enthusiasm beginning this Sunday.
Hoping we don't have to wait too long for more Hacks, that's really excellent. I know it only just aired this summer though.

^^In Johnny Carson's voice, I did not know that! Look forward to both Succession and Curb.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
If interested, I ran across this list of some of Stephen King's favorite TV shows, not all are horror.
anyone a fan of Frank of Ireland?..I'm curious about it after hearing someone rave about it being the greatest show ever this past week.
Newest show on the docket for me is Doom Patrol and I'm loving it!! Also glad to see there is more than one season to watch. Not your usual superhero fare at all - think The Boys but weirder and steampunkish

I finished the latest season of Goliath last night. I enjoyed almost the entire thing, but the final courtroom scene struck me as a bit weird (don't want to give any spoilers).
<sig out of order>
I finished Brockmire last night. I was skeptical about the whole premise of the final season, but it won me over as it developed, and I thought the last two episodes in particular were excellent.

Happy with what I have to be happy with.
Saturday Night Live did a pretty funny Squid Game parody last night.
^^ The entire episode was great. In one sketch, Pete Davidson played Rami, and Rami played Pete. The premise of course being the 2 of them are often mistaken for the other.

Squid Game. I'd give the first 5 episodes a B or a B+, episode 6 an A+, and episodes 7 and 8 an A. The last episode, 9, is a little trickier. I'd give the first 23-24 minutes an A-, the next 18 minutes a C, and the last 15 seconds an F.
Still, overall, it's a great show. Just make sure to keep the audio in the original Korean and use subtitles. Unless you speak Korean, of course. The voice acting for the English audio sucks. Unfortunately, I was usually eating for those first 5 episodes and it seemed like a good idea to hear it in English since eating and reading subtitles isn't easy.
For those who've seen it, here's why I grade E9 the way I did: I get that the game changed him. But he wins all that money and then takes a year to get his shit together and help Sae-byeok's brother? Not to mention his own daughter!!! And then at the last minute, as he's about to board the plane to the US to be with his daughter, what does he do? Turns around and still neglects her, disappointing her once again, I'm sure. I just thought it could have been written better.

“The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the white zone."
So we're three episodes in to Midnight Mass and enjoying the story so far. I don't mind the slow burn at all. But what I do mind - and this is not specific to this show by a long shot - is the apparent need to inject so many songs into the episodes, while showing montage sequences or even dialogue scenes. Why on earth am I sitting there, listening to Neil Diamond's 'Holly Holy' at full blast and in its entirety instead of hearing what these characters are saying? It's ridiculous how prevalent this technique has become in modern series. It makes me sound like a cranky old man, but I'm better off muting these things and reading the captions until I see "(song concludes)".
What's even worse with this particular series are the hymns. I get that it's a very church-oriented show, but man, is there anything more excruciatingly dull than some old hymn droning on and on with endless verses? Ugh.
But yeah, enjoying the story quite a bit so far, and there's some good acting in there too.
