Is Upstart Crow on some service (other than britbox, I assume)? I would love to give that one a watch.

I'm not sure. I did watch some on Britbox, but I was lucky enough to DVR them a while back and I kept them because they're worth watching again and again. I've seen them show up from time to time (in standard definition) but you probably just have to look out for them. Mitchell is excellent as always, but the real scene-stealer is Mark Heap who plays his nemesis Robert Greene. If you're a Black Adder fan, you'll recognize a similar dialogue style.

Peep Show is definitely one of the top 10, if not top 5 British comedies - as is the IT Crowd. ITC was written by one of the Father Ted creators and once it got into its stride was an absolutely brilliantly funny off-beat show. This also features on Pluto’s British Comedy channel.

Finished the 3rd season of “You” last night on Netflix. Although the show has it’s flaws I have enjoyed all 3 seasons. A 4th season is in the works. I am not sure where they go from here as the plot has kind of gotten into a pattern, but I guess we’ll see. Penn Bagley really makes this show as the main character, and Victoria Pedretti (who was great in Haunting Of Hill House / Bly Manor) is excellent in seasons 2 & 3. I think this show still has potential for the 4th season, but the writers need to shake things up a bit.

I need to watch a recap on YouTube before I start the new season, but I remember really liking season 1.

Resident Alien is just killing me. Even better than last season.

I just started season 2 and halfway through the first episode was losing interest.... until things got interesting. Now 3 episodes in and hooked.

That's the series that started in 2015 and had 2 seasons?

No, first season was 2020 and new season just dropped recently. It is a sci-fi series who's executive producer is Ridley Scott.

That is the thing about this show. I get right to the point where I say I am going to stop and then it takes a left turn hooks me right back in. It is far from perfect, but has kept my interest.

Raised by Wolves I watched two episodes after the Super Bowl and am definitely intrigued. The concept is unique and the moral foundation is something I am passionate about, Atheism v. Theology. I did feel that the Necromancer form of Mother was derivative of many comic villains, specifically the flying cross position she maintains while "mancing" I'm in for more as time allows.

Around the World in 80 Days. At this point, I guess I'm hooked but I'm not thrilled with it. Some things feel contrived. And do I need to mention the anachronisms? Last night, though, really annoyed me during a scene in a bar where numerous people cocked their guns more than once; one guy even cocked his three times! It's become such a cliché and I expect better from Masterpiece.

When I first read about this show sometime last year, I was intrigued by this part of its description: "After Earth is ravaged by a great religious war, two androids set out to raise human children on the mysterious virgin planet Kepler-22b..."

But was then put off by this last part: "...a treacherous task jeopardized by the arrival of a devout congregation of surviving humans."

Religious zealots already annoy the fuck out of me. I don't want to watch a show where they play a prominent role and it's why I haven't gotten around to pulling the trigger on The Handmaid's Tale, yet.

That's part of the draw to the series for me b/c it shows them in a way that's not all together flattering--are they crazy following a crazy man?

Plus the androids are just so dang cool...

Better Call Saul Season 6 coming on april 18th. Until then, I have started Logan's Run the tv series (after enjoying the film, but never finding it. It's thankfully free on Tubi right now).

After that, my plan is to tackle another 70's Scifi show: Blake's 7, along with Only Murders in the Building (I'm already 2 episodes in) and 12 Monkeys I think, as I recall posting before

Also with my wife, I've been watching a documentary series on YouTube, on Airports, Southwest Airlines and Customer Indicents, called Airline from the mid 2000's. Along with this, which both are kind of like a car crash you can't look away from.

this is like MST3K for a Reality show

I recall a BBC documentary about Heathrow that was absolutely fascinating. Not sure of the title, Airport maybe?

Good news on Better Call Saul.

Also remember watching "Airline" back when it was originally on. Definitely an eye opener.

    [/I], yet.
We're watching but yeah, there's issues.

The Righteous Gemstones is having a bang-up season on HBO but the show that follows it is this somewhat gentle, definitely quirky comedy Somebody Somewhere. It's definitely worth checking out if what is on link appeals to you.

I've decided to do a deep dive on the whole Marvel thing. I've seen roughly half of the films, and several seasons of the various TV shows, so I'm going to try to round it all out. But man, the amount of material is just staggering. Starting with Agent Carter.

Agent Carter kind of presumes that you're familiar with the first Captain America movie, and one of the Iron Man films -- I think it's the third one.

Right. And fortunately, I have seen those. This seems to fill in the gaps.

^ I have a jpeg that purports to put the MCU offerings in a chronological order (up until the time it was made, anyway.) I tried to post it, but it's too damned small to make out.
