I'm just watching episode one. It's pretty good.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)

Is it just on HBO Max or also on regular HBO?

Regular HBO. Episode one aired Friday night, episode two on Saturday. Now to be repeated to infinity. I snared them on the DVR.

We finished Ozark over the weekend. Part of the ending was pretty predictable, but I can't say that we were able to predict all that happened in those last couple episodes. For those who have watched the show in its entirety, Netflix has a half-hour "behind the scenes" wrap-up feature that was a good watch, too. Jason Bateman might be the most respected man in Hollywood.

I thought those shows were great, but I was 5 or 6, so they were probably really bad.
Gadzooks, Captain Nice. That takes me back. I was 9 when it started airing in early '68. It ran fifteen episodes. The rather silly theme song can (surprise surprise) be seen on YT.

"Look, it's a nut who flies around in pajamas!"
"That's no nut boy -- that's Captain Nice!"
"Mice?" (not sure about this word)
    "Nice, Nice, Nice -- Nice!"

Interesting! I'll have to check this out thanks. I loved the series, but was a little bit unsatisfied with the ending.

Finished up Bosch Legacy and thought it was real good. Hope this sticks around for a while

From the description I thought this referred to Mr Terrific - “only squeamish Stanley Beamish could take this magic power pill” I guess there were a lot of similar shows.

I started watching Bosch the other night. It's a detective show that comes from a series of books about the main character, Harry Bosch, from the Michael Connelly series of books. I think you can see them via Amazon too, but also free thru a channel on the Roku called Freevee. So far it's pretty interesting. Thanks to who suggested it.

The mid-season finale of Better Call Saul last night was ! My wife and I both audibly gasped. Final six episodes start July 11.

Watched the series finale of “This Is Us” last night. This is one of those shows that I watched because my wife wanted to watch it. Over the course of it’s six seasons I thought it was at times brilliant and at other times melodramatic and contrived. Everything was professionally written and acted, but for every episode that was riveting there were episodes of pure filler. It was a unique show for sure with the use of flashbacks and flashforwards jumping all over the place in time. Lead actress Mandy Moore did an incredible job especially considering she was younger than the 3 actors playing her kids. In the end I liked the show, but think it was way to padded. The six seasons could have probably been streamlined into about four and it would have been a much better show. The finale was rather anti-climactic. In fact, I would argue that the second to last show was the finale and the final episode was more like a coda with not a whole lot going on in it. Anyway, the show was unique and had it’s moments. I like it, but didn’t love it.

NCIS Los Angels and Hawaii both ended with a celebratory get-together. No cliff-hangers. Which leads me to believe the plug is being pulled on both shows. The original NCIS, which has been on the air forever did end with a cliff-hanger.

Reactions to TV shows like the one I had with this episode the other night are far and few between. This show is amazing in every aspect.

    THE ORVILLE

The 3rd and Final season comes to HULU June 2nd.

Not a ton of buzz or promotion though which sucks, but the latest trailer adds quite a bit.

Since I read here that there was a big surprise, the impact was dulled because I essentially saw it coming.

After watching this I may re-visit Toast of Tinseltown which didn’t knock me out the way Toast of London did:

It wasn't as good, I agree, but there were a few funny moments. Transplanting him to the U.S. doesn't quite work.
