Ok so I see a new season of Yellowjackets is coming out. I haven't seen it yet, but am interested. Can you folks who have seen it give me any reasons why I should or shouldn't give it a go? If not I may just jump in on this new survival series on Netflix called Outlast

I put if off for awhile before finally deciding to watch it because I was skeptical of the hype.

Watch it! It's one of the best things I've seen in a few years.

p.s. Given how season 1 ended, I suspect season 2 is gonna be a doozy!

Great show, however I feel like there was definitely more story to tell. Almost intentionally so. They alluded to some plot points in the trailers that were not addressed during Season 1. So, I'm really looking forward to Season 2.

Wait... doesn't that exceed your daily episode capacity?

Just started (again) The Book of Boba Fett. We watched the first episode when it was available and my GF didn't really have interest, despite liking The Mandolorian, so we abandoned it. She chose the last couple things we watched, so I wanted to give this one another shot. 3 episodes in, and that first episode was much better than I remembered, and I'm enjoying the show. And I've heard that the last couple episodes are what make this worth watching, so looking forward to that.

I watched the first episode of The Peripheral on Prime. HOOKED. Although I have read a lot of William Gibson, I didn't read the book this series I was based on but wow, it seemed like finally we have a production that captures his vision.

We binged this yesterday. While highly entertaining, I was consumed with the overwhelming scent of complete bullshit. Call me cynical, but something was definitely not sitting right with me. And I'm not talking the usual nudge from production (as many of these types of shows demonstrate), I'm actually going to go out on a limb and say this was completely scripted. Jason Batemen as executive producer? Shame on him. And if I'm wrong, fuck Alpha team. Karma is (and was) a bitch.

BTW, I'm looking forward to season 2 of Yellowjackets. I enjoyed the first season.

This is exactly why I was hesitant about Outlast. I still may give it a shot though. Finished Yellowjackets last night. Pretty crazy last couple episodes! I'm lookin' forward to season 2 also.

I don't care for much TV animation, but started watching Samurai Jack on HBO and enjoy the simple story and artwork. Primal on HBO is fun too.

I've also been watching this old Werewolf series that aired back in the 80's. It's a bit dated, but fun to watch when I can't figure out what else I want to watch. I think they ran into some copyright problems and never released a set of these on DVD. You can subscribe to that YT channel and when a new video drops, you can watch them.

Outstanding first episode. But I keep remembering Tom's line from a previous season "Logan always wins. Always wins."

Finished season 2 or Mayor of Kingstown. Hell of a great show, but I doubt there will be a season 3.

That episode slammed back and forth between hilarity and tragedy with such precision. The final scene, with Shiv and Tom, was devastating.

We watched the Netflix and NBC documentaries on the Murchoch case / trials over the weekend. Interesting stuff.

Agreed. And Logan's scene where he wanted to be 'roasted', only so he could give it back in a frighteningly petty way was gripping as hell.

I've been watching season 3 of Picard. There's a recurring character in it named Vadic, played by an actress I recognized. I finally checked to see who she is and discovered it's Amanda Plummer, who I remember as the intellectually disabled girlfriend of the intellectually disabled Benny (played by Larry Drake). She also played Tim Roth's girlfriend in Pulp Fiction (they were the couple who robbed the diner, in case you've forgotten). Apparently, she was also in The Fisher King, but I don't remember her in that.

Now here's what I just found out: she's the daughter of Christopher Plummer! Who knew?
