About to finish The Last of Us. SPOILERS! It's fine, and I've generally enjoyed, but with a few exceptions. SPOILERS!! Dropping the f-bomb so many times doesn't strike me as great script/character writing and just seems a ploy to get a higher R rating anymore. Also now that I'm older, I see thru a lot of the unrealistic things in film ie. SPOILER!! If one gets stabbed in the gut, just stitching up the skin wound probably isn't going to stop internal bleeding. sigh Otherwise, it's okay.
Started Game of Thrones too.
Really enjoying the latest season of Ted Lasso and also intrigued by The Power. Very thought-provoking.

We have been watching Barry as well and are poised to start watching the final season. This show is bonkers! I will say that, while the acting is superb, the writing has too many holes and WTFs. We don't care though. It's pretty entertaining and some of it darn right surreal. The judo guy hit/crazy daughter episode? What??? And that motocross chase at the end of season 3 was a work of art. Season 4 is queued up.

Agree, some of those quick cuts can be annoying.
You never know with shows like this that become big hits. “Lost” was a prime example. It was originally conceived as a 3-season arc that eventually got dragged out to 6 due to it being such a huge hit (the network wanted 10 seasons). Unfortunately, the show suffered from it. I hope this does not happen with “Yellowjackets.” 3 or 4 seasons should be the max, but it is becoming a golden goose for Showtime, so the pressure might be on to extend it. The show is moving at a slow pace although I think once we find out where the kid was in the woods it is going to open a whole new can of worms. The baby coming into play in the next episode should be interesting as well.
Agree with you about "Last Of Us". I liked it ok, but it did not blow me away as it seems to have with many people. Are you just starting the original Game Of Thrones or the prequel "House Of The Dragon"?
I watched all the seasons of the original Game of Thrones and enjoyed them, even the last season. I know some had a problem with them, I'm not sure why, maybe they expected a happy, tidy ending. But for me, it started out as a tragedy. So...
Yes, so just starting House of the Dragon. I seems okay. I'm still on the fence if I enjoy it as much as the original, but I'll continue for sure. I just like that world.
I really enjoyed "House Of The Dragon" and think it is on a par with the original. Looking forward to the next season.
Good to know. Matt Smith, who was one of the doctors in Dr. Who, turns into a pretty bad villain, or that's what I'm thinking going into this early on. The Last of Us, one more episode to go.
My wife has us watching the new Dead Ringers mini-series on Amazon. We're three episodes in and it is a dark ride and there's been enough deviations from the old movie that I have zero clue where it is going. But I've seen quite a bit more traumatic childbirths than I wanted to. Yikes.

I would say he becomes a complex character. Good & bad in the world of Game Of Thrones is never black and white. He is an excellent in the role.

The wife and I finished the final season of “Firefly Lane” tonight on Netflix. Although having 5 or more timelines going at the same time, the show sometimes got a bit confusing, I thought the series was very well done. I have a very good friend who I have known since elementary school and we are still close friends today. We are like brothers from another mother in many ways, but we have also had fights and major disagreements over the years. The show portrayed the ups and downs of long term friendships from a female perspective, but I could relate to much of it. Highly recommended.

I watched the first three episodes of The Diplomat and am highly entertained. High-stakes political maneuvering, snappy writing, and a lighter touch than Keri Russell's previous series (The Americans).

I was tied up with hockey and baseball while the Mrs. bingewatched it, but from what I could tell while not paying attention, it seemed like Madam Secretary all over again, but I could be wrong.
Jury Duty--Amazon Freevee, sort of cross between The Office and Punked where they picked one guy for jury duty that doesn't know he's being spoofed, the others are all actors. Pretty funny if you like that sort of thing.
We enjoyed Jury Duty and thought the reveal was pretty touching.

I finished Star Trek: Picard last week and enjoyed it. I also finally watched the first episode of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds last night. In comparison, Strange New Worlds was so much better. It's possible it's due to the fact that it's episodic while the story in Picard is stretched out over the whole season, which sometimes gave it a feeling of being padded.
Also, if you're looking forward to the new season of SNW, it's scheduled to begin June 15th.
I said last week that "I hope they create a new show called ST: Titan with Seven, Raffi, Jack, and Geordie's daughter."
And then I ran across this, Sunday:

By May, some fans had begun championing the idea of a spin-off series starring Jeri Ryan as Seven of Nine and Michelle Hurd as Raffi. Matalas said he was "not just supporting, [but] spearheading" the idea, which both actresses also expressed interest in.
How f'n cool would that be, especially if the show's as good as SNW!?
