Disney+ has a section with the movies and some of the series in chronological order.

The Righteous Gemstones is having a bang-up season on HBO but the show that follows it is this somewhat gentle, definitely quirky comedy Somebody Somewhere. It's definitely worth checking out if what is on link appeals to you.

Someone raised the point they don't like religious zealots in reference to Raised By Wolves above. I have similar issues with the Gemstones variety. I liked the guy in the baseball one , Fourth and Down or ? and his Vice Principals series. But I can't get past my dislike of this brand of religious blather. I tried.

Two episodes in to the new season of "Raised By Wolves" and it is great as ever. We had to go back and watch a 30 minute re-cap of season 1 on YouTube to remember all of the details of what happened before, but looks like season 2 is going to be another great ride.

Watched the documentary "The Tinder Swindler" on Netflix yesterday. Goes to show how gullible people can be.

Last night's episode was pretty good. It left in a spot that left me wanting the next episode.

I get so used to binge watching things on Netflix and other places that having to wait a week for new episodes gets frustrating. First world problems right?

We finished Part 1 of Ozark (great setup for Part 2) and have moved on to The Sinner, Season 3. This one is a little weird.

For some inexplicable reason I rewatched season 1 of Black Summer over the past few days. Apparently, I never finished it. It's better than I remember, too.

Started season 2, yesterday, and so far, so good.

For those unfamiliar, imagine a mix of The Walking Dead and 28 Days Later but written by smarter people.

This was quite a surprise for me having been so burnt on the zombie thing, but I absolutely loved the first season. That diner episode was incredible! 2nd season was ok...started strong, but to me kinda fizzled out.

Oh. Well, I guess I won't finish it, then. Thanks Klonk!

I haven't been disappointed, so far, but truth be told, I'm kind of waiting for it to settle in, so to speak. One of the things I liked about the first season was seeing things from different characters' pov. This season, it feels like it's jumping around a little too much. That's what I mean about waiting for it to settle in.

We went to start watching the new (4th) season of The Sinner on Amazon Prime and they are charging for it. It pisses me off that Prime charges for their service, and then makes some programming additional rental only. Anyway..........The Sinner is certainly a different show. It is as much about Bill Pullman wrestling with his inner demons as it is about the mystery in the show. I have enjoyed all 3 seasons so far, and think Pullman is pretty amazing in it, but the show is not for everryone.

Regarding Ozark, I think each season gets better. I was not blown away after season 1, but have enjoyed each consecutive season more. I still don't put it at "Breaking Bad" level as some do, but it is a pretty strong show for the most part.

Ahh, that sucks! It was on Showtime here, and now being carried by our cable carrier's 'On Demand' service. The only problem is it has commercials that you can't skip, but at least they are only one at a time. We are halfway through and it's just as good as previous seasons. And as I mentioned before, has the added bonus of being filmed in specific Nova Scotia locations we're very familiar with. Agreed about Pullman as well, he does an excellent job with a nuanced character.

Exactly. I was not too impressed with the documentary approach of prominently relying on two victims. I realize they were the catalyst of his being "caught", but their portions felt like testimonials which turned me off. I guess that's nitpicking as the overall message was intact. My preference would've been a deeper story about his victims, his accomplices, the intricacy of the con, etc.

My wife and I intended to binge the 3rd season of Ricky Gervais’ After Life having loved the first two seasons. Somehow this season seems to be a bit of a re-tread and we are reluctantly catching a show every couple of days. The central theme of the loss of his wife seems to have less impact with each video reminiscence scene. It’s a pity because the other cast members are excellent and I think he has the makings of a great little slice of small-town life comedy if he more fully developed those sub-plots. Obviously that is not going to happen as he has already closed the lid on the project.
We are at episode 4 and in no hurry - TBH I wouldn’t care one way or the other if we don’t finish the season out at all. Quite surprising because I absolutely love everything else Ricky has done.

Yeah, this really chafes my nuts too, and they're raising the price for Prime. Mine's not up til December, but I'm going to have to give it some thought.

    t!
Agree with all your points. They could have easily made this a multi-part series. The main con guy obviously had additional people working with him. The doc just seemed to brush them off. I would have liked to see some investigation into them as well.

Got the same e-mail today about the price being raised. I do order a lot of stuff from Amazon, so the free shipping saves me money, but I am beginning to think Prime Video is a rip off.

If you prorate the annual fee of the new price hike it comes to $11.66 per month for free shipping and a shit ton of content. Still a pretty good deal in my book.

Good point, and yes it is still probably worth it. It just seems like almost everything I want to watch on Prime Video costs extra.

The kicker is I received the email the day the previous billing cycle ended, and the new one began. Too late to cancel until next month.
