    When I started following football he had already retired. His active carreer is also not at intensively documented as the one of who came after him. Surely he is one of the all time greats when you like at his titles and statistics.

    He never fell of his throne (like Maradonna). He stayed a friendly ambassador for the sport.

A friend of mine is still active at that club and tells that every time Weghorst is getting a new contract the club gets a piece of the cake because they were part of his football-education.
    Wow, the WC seems to have some effect on the career of Weghorst: maybe he'll make a transfer to Manchester United....
