Xavier, you sent out this link via Bandcamp, but it's not working for me. What's up? Steve, make it work! Please.

SOMEONE made a mistake, but I won't give his name. The actual link will be working in late october. It was up for some minutes but it was too early ; I thought it was for real so I made an anouncement. Too bad... Really sorry you lot !

    Fuck that.

*I* fucked up and mistakenly hit the GO LIVE a button instead of the SAVE DRAFT button.

I am the bossman, and the buck stops HERE!

Steve ain’t making it work for 2 months.

^ Ha! I listened to the tracks that were able to be listened to earlier today, and I can say that this is a great album, based on the 5 or 6 songs I did hear. The key question for me, per usual: Will there be a CD? The Bandcamp page only had the digital download, and extremely scanty info. (I had to check the Ghost Rhythms discography on Discogs to make sure that this is a new release.)

Yes. It’s a CD *and* digital release.

Ha. I was wondering why the link didn't work for me and it wasn't on the general Cuneiform Bandcamp page. Well, I will take your thumbs up as an endorsement to buy...eventually.

@Steve...Well, I did find pre-ordering a digital download to be a bit of an odd thing.

And here was I, assuming it was some sort of spectral arrivant, a kind of spooky foreshadowing of the music to come. More like an interweb sceance to conjure forth the music, than a crass marketing ploy...

I really love this band! Wow!! Amazing news!

While you wait for the new album, here's another of our projects : we illustrate dream sequences from movies we love with new music. Here's Isaak's dream, from Wild Strawberries, by Ingmar Bergman (1957). Hope you'll like it !

    This is brilliant, Xav!

What about Maria's Dance, from Metropolis? - or, in a different register, Keaton's Sherlock Junior?!

    Spellbound?

Thanks a lot Robin ! We will do all of that. When and if you have other ideas of dream sequences, I'll take it.
We have a list, I'll put it there tonight.

I love that new tune and video!

Michel Gondry's "La science des rêves" is full of absolutely fantastic dream scenes. It is probably on your list already but if it isn't; check it out. Its stunning.

    Absolutely !!

    We're working on those :

    - Belle de jour
    - Le Miroir (Tarkovski)
    - Eraserhead
    - The Big Lebowski
    - Take Shelter

Xav - Mirror is (possibly) my favourite film - so, I feel like I have a stake in this...

...so, do you think that you can "identify" sequences as, precisely, *dream* sequences? - I think Tarkovsky could be thought to argue that his films sought to move elsewhere to dream sequences - as such - as he would from flashbacks, or time generated by montage.

But, to return to music, I learnt to love the Erbame Dich from the Matthew Passion of Bach, from watching Tarkovsky!

Of course you are right, where do dream sequences begin and where do they end ? If watching Bunuel, for example, it's quite difficult to tell.
