In 2013 I put up my old bands complete discography/ recorded issue on to 2 SoundCloud pages which can be accessed from this link.
    https://soundcloud.com/blue-on-shock-archive

After returning from a 2 year jolly in Tenerife in 2017, where I was playing Tenor in a Bossa duet and busking solo about 9 hours a week. I started the process of writing and producing releases for my Bandcamp, Soundclick and SoundCloud pages.
If all goes well I will release my Album "Sick Notes" on Bandcamp sometime next month.

I read in a few posts of other musicians needing drums.... My cable (I hope it's that) is bad, so I can't record any acoustic instruments -- drums (first thing I have to record, obviously), acoustic guitar, other percussion, etc.. I don't use a computer, I just have a condenser microphone. I don't use click-tracks, etc., very organic thing, but I have some long drum only files, and you can chop them up, etc., just let me hear hopefully... Music is my regular job, but I'd feel useful if I can be of use to someone, especially those who can't afford it or have no one to collaborate with.

I don't know how to loop, etc., and the link below is entitled, "drum solo", but you can always take a couple of grooves, select 10 seconds, and if you have the patience, make a song out of one cool little thing you like.

I'm releasing a double cd sometime in 2023. Some people think I'm a fool to spend the money on a gatefold which holds 2 discs and that it's not practical or sensible in today's world.

I may not live that much longer. I do this for fun. I finished all the recording and mixing . I want to title the cd PORTRAITS as each piece creates its own visual inspired by my personal experiences dealing with the occult, fear of the ocean's life-force, fantasy, nightmares and phobia.

It's been a long journey assembling the pieces in an order that flows. The album closes with a piece that expresses the past being gone , further leaving the impression that the rest of the album was a reflection of its existence. I'm hoping for the best

I just released my 2022 songs on Bandcamp. It's a free download so have at it. My 2021 and 2020 albums are there also.

Yes I have been releasing new music all of 2022 and have much more ready for 2023 in order to stay consistent and continue my growth as a independent artist. I see the future of the music industry becoming easier for artists to have careers without a major label.I have no doubts because there are numerous resources artists can use to market their music organically. I've yet to release a full project but will continue to release singles until I have a bigger demand. Right now I'm mainly focusing on engaging with my fans and building a wider audience.

I released an album a month ago. I will continue to do so every year if I can. Not that any of it sells, but I just need to get it out there. The process of creation is more than worth it for me.

For me too. I can't stop making music, but a sale or some response is a nice addition.

I did a project. Might do more. But I need musicians to do much other than this.

Technology has come a pretty long way; this was done completely with synths (mostly soft synths, including a few free ones) by hand (i.e. no premade loops or backing bits).

Sorry for the melancholy artwork. Not really but I still say it

That's really good. Way more musical than mine.

Mine was done w/ a keyboard, a bass, drum samples, Reaper and lots of on-board effects...haha!

Yeah...I'm strictly a synth jockey so everything came from me on a keyboard. The acoustic guitar was a free plugin I found that does an amazing job; I had to program in the frets for each chord but then could play my own strumming patterns using the keyboard. And I use Reaper as well, it's a pretty fantastic tool for the price.

Glad you enjoyed it! The idea was mainly to show what was possible with limiting to just soft synths and plugins.

It sounds way more involved than that.

I'm actually a singer. But there are no vocals on my thing. I get very simple beat ideas and build on them just creating an atmosphere. My son said it sounds like video game music. LOL

    Sounds interesting.

Well, I'm just a composer (or pretending to be one). The computer, with softsynths and midi-instruments functions as band.

Sounds great. Beautiful. What plugin did you use for the acoustic guitar? Very realistic.

Check out BandLab. Lots of good musicians there in many different Genre's. I release pretty much all of my stuff there and do a bucketload of collaborations with others. Here's my link - look at my "Tracks" and my "Collab Playlist":

If you decide to join there please message me, reference this thread and let me know if you want to work on something together.

Thanks. I don't seem to be that bad, though my keyboard-talents are almost non-existent. I can read and write notes and that is basicly my musical 'talent'.
If I would work with someone else, they probably should be able to read notes, or be able to work with computer-files, like my only collaboration in the past. Problem with that collaboration was only my melodies were used and not my sounds.

I can't play an instrument (not really) and I can't read notes.

I can sing and write melodies, though. If you ever want vocals on anything, hit me up.
