Speaking of Japanese, the new Korekijinn CD is killer. I don't have the first Happy Family, though. Speaking of Happy Family, their new one is really terrific (if not as instantly gratifying as Toscco which is apparently back in print!!). It took a good 6 months to sink in, but now I enjoy it immensely.

That right there, man. That's an album. Flute solo in "The Bends." Preview of everything the Secret Chiefs would do on "Desert Search for Techno Allah." The bass on "Platypus"! The sludge horror comedy of the opening track. The meltdown at the end of the album.

Oh hecks in a hand! This is a fine damned album.

Aahhh... You're in for a treat completely beyond your wildest imagination. This one rages high on my top-25 of post-"classic era" progressive releases. Utterly mesmerizing stuff whose absent following ironically proves the general absence of an actual "prog community" of any vitality whatsoever.
