Since Mike Kermisch passed away last year my connection to Japanese bands has dried up. Would anyone carry this locally.

Google translate had this to say -
A long-awaited new album from KENSO, a treasure of Japanese progressive rock, is complete!
A long-awaited new album from KENSO, the king of Japanese progressive rock, for the first time in about 10 years since his previous album "Nainaru Koe ni Kaikouseyo".
A masterpiece album full of "progressive love" that has finally been completed after a long production period, spelling out a view of life, which can be said to be one of the elements of progressive rock, through music, incorporating elements of rock, classical music, and this work also includes "Japanese taste"!!
The 11 songs, created by passing the progressive rock that has been passed down since ancient times through KENSO's original filter, are original and overwhelmingly complete, and as a work of art, they exude a unique personality that sets them apart from others! ! A work that is sure to touch the heartstrings of all rock fans! !
This album also features a host of guest musicians, including Gen Ittetsu (Violin) and miwako (Vo), who make KENSO's unique songs stand out even more. This album also uses high-quality CD specifications (SHM-CD). This album is clear and three-dimensional, allowing you to fully enjoy the dynamism and sound images that are inherent to rock music! !

11. Still a boy in solitude
Greetings,
Thanks for the updates. I'd seen that the album was being mixed recently, but hadn't been able to gather further details.
Having had the pleasure to catch KENSO's last live performance (at Club Citta' in Kawasaki, nearly five years ago now), we heard live versions of these two tracks:
I remember both being quite good, though the latter one was quite different in style and actually featured an audience singalong (melody, in score form, provided on the rear of the merch sheet from that particular show). It's been long enough now that I can't really remember the first tune that well, but my recollection was that all the new material they played was excellent. Can't wait for this come out!
Cheers,
Alan
How is Nainaru Koe ni Kaikouseyo? I think I missed that album.
Hi Jed. I think Uchinaru Koe Ni Kaiki Seyo is a very good album and definitely holds up nicely among the two that came beforehand (and, overall, it may be my favorite of these three latest KENSO studio releases). There is some very nice variety here and the final track is, more or less, a tribute to Led Zeppelin--complete with a very cool 12-string with a rather odd and beautiful tuning and soprano Miwako Handa providing the vocals.
Additionally, the album is now up on Spotify (like many other KENSO releases) and you can hear the entire thing here:

Hard to believe it's been 10 years since the release of their last new album. (I believe they re-released the live album イン・コンサート (Music for Unknown Five Musicians) in 2018?)
Really looking forward to this!
Since I'm partial to Apple Music over Spotify I'll mention that most of their newer albums are also available there.

I'm all in, if I can find it upon release. Bandcamp is where I buy 99% of my music, so I hope that it may wind up there. If not, I'll have to look for another avenue.
New Kenso! Yeah!!

I'm biased af, heh, but it's great. You definitely want it. I'm playing it right now.
Of their last three studio efforts, I think I still like Fabulis Mirabilibus De Bombycosi Scriptis best. When that was new, I didn't take it out of the player for weeks. "First of Fury" and "Echi Dal Foro Romano" have to be two of their all-time best tracks. The subsequent live album Chilling Heat: Live in Tokyo 2004 is all killer, no filler.
The new album An Old Warrior Shook The Sun dropped today! Listening to it now on Apple Music. It's also on YouTube and presumably other major streaming services (but I'll be looking for it on CD). Sounding great!
^^ Thanks! The CD was sent to me yesterday from Japan, so I'll have to wait a week or two before I can enjoy it.
Good sense of humor. At prog fest 99’ la Mirada lead had his full dental uniform on. I didn’t know what to think but was told a full time dentist. (In sort joke about chops vs, chompers)
