Speaking of Boston taking it to ya...boy did they expose the youth of my Rangers the other night. That is one solid, veteran team with a shit ton of experience and had us skating in circles. We got a long way to go!
Interesting. I was wondering if Boston was that good or if VGK just played badly that night. Maybe a combination of both as I don't think we are that bad. My guys couldn't complete a pass to save their lives that night. Almost no puck control. Plus the PP had been on the fritz so that doesn't help. Finally got a PP goal against Anaheim the other day so maybe that is getting better.

Reaves has been playing nice for the most part. The one fight but I do think that was mutual although I obviously couldn't hear the banter on the ice. No hinky stuff either.

Tomorrow night should be fun as everyone will be in costume. I'd bet a lot of Jokers as that movie is popular right now.

    2 games + 2 nights + 2 cities = 2 wins!

Go Habs! Looks like we're getting that PK in order and it's already paying dividends.

Isles 7 in a row! Bring on da Bolts! And we have two/games in hand already, which is a little weird.

In other news, not doing well in RotoHockey, just cant get the timing right on the moves, waivers etc. Its just BS that I cant make a same day move from the FA list before a game starts. But those are the rulz.

Goal is finish .500 by season end.

This is certainly the biggest story to come out of Canada this year:

Hate to see these things happen, but they happen. Nice moment of respect though.

My biggest question is how did they get that through security? You can't even bring a bloody protein bar into a Leafs game with their no outside food policy.

Also, given that the Hellman's logo was perfectly placed forward, I'm guessing it was some sort of weird promotional stunt.

Backes helmet caught Sabourin in the side of the head and he was out immediately. Then he hit the ice face first. Pretty gruesome. Clean play hope he returns soon.

Crazy up and down game last night between the Habs and Bruins. Thankfully, we prevailed in potential controversy. I thought Mete's 2nd goal was goalie interferenece, the officials did not. It was also not 100% clear to me that Boston was off-sides on their disallowed 5th goal.

Kudos to Habs fans for giving Chara a round of applause upon playing his 1500th game. He has been a worthy adversary for years and you have to respect that. I'm happier they got the W for Julien on his 1200th coached game in the NHL.

I don't think it was goalie interference because Chara pushed Thompson into Rask, clearly. The offside was REALLY close.

He was also outside the blue paint so good no call I guess. For the off-side, I thought it was so close that they would go with the call on the ice, but I re-watched it and one angle shows his skates just a touch in front of the puck.

It was the best of times ..it was the worse of times... for Price...

He stood on his head for 3 periods, made 40 saves, and literally stole a point in Philly, only to give up a soft one in the first minute of OT. The rest of the team have to feel like they let him down though, not the other way around. Habs were not skating except for a few bursts here and there. Pathetic effort!

...and Henrik was just as incredible making 45 stops, but we won Rangers definitely showing signs of something good to come! And holy crap Carolina is no joke!! This is a good team folks...relentless!!

In the more exciting NHL news, the Islanders had their 10 game win streak stopped

Haven't watched today's game yet but damn, taking six penalties a game is not going to work. The refs have been particularly lousy the last two games but it's been a fair lousy as they have made bad calls against both teams. Just more on VGK so they gotta clean up that ticky tack crap. VGK might have a great PK but it can only hold up so long before too many penalties ruin you.

Pacioretty needs to not hit the damned pipes and score. Been way too much of that crap.

Rangers turning the corner... Habs finding a way to win ugly, like last night. I'll keep taking the pts however. 2nd place in the Atlantic now...

Some of the October champions are coming back to earth a little.

Carolina and Colorado seem ready to join the big boys. Cale Makar looks legit. Wait until he stops deferring to teammates...

Carolina is no joke. That team just comes at you and at you and at you! Colorado has a problem with both goalies down to injury (last I saw at least)

Don Cherry? I never liked the dude so whatever. The reason for his firing pisses me off though, but not surprising these days with all the ultra-sensitive masses...I'll end it there though as I KNOW I'll surely be in the minority at PE with these matters

    <cue all the outrage>
