Rangers getting it done so far because their special teams are on fire and they're capitalizing on good chances while playing patient. Carolina is a great team and is going to have surges. It helps Igor has been phenomenal, but I think every game has had swings in both teams favor. 4th game's the hardest to win, but for now I'm having a good time

Two main factors in the Rangers success against CAR so far: Goaltending and Hurricanes 0-15 with the man advantage. Igor has been fantastic.

Carolina will probably win this now.

I'm not with ya there. That 3rd period was a real stinker, but Rangers always seem to bounce back after a stinker. I don't think anybody thought this series would go less than 6.

Oh I assumed it would go 7, but not that the Rangers would win the first three. lol

But since we are here, my fandom must rise up and send me falling into the despair I know so well.

Unlike most of the 1st round were most of lower ranked team were dispatched quickly, the 2nd round has 8 teams that have no desire to start summer vacation early. Gotta love playoff hockey!

The fight by all non carolina based teams is indeed appreciated. This is why NHL playoffs are the best sporting event, hands down.

I was concerned the moment I tuned in during the early part of Period 3.

After last night's Game 6, I thought well maybe the Rangers were being lazy and slow during the first two periods while the Canes will busting their butts off and really into it. But then I thought after the final score that Peter Laviolette was telling his guys "let's get these guys really tired and when they run of out gas, STRIKE! And that's what the Rangers (led by Kreider) actually did, they nabbed a tired rabbit and finished it off. That is my theory but it is only fitting that the NY Rangers are in the conference final and well deserved.

Florida vs NY = Florida in 7
Dallas vs Edmonton = Dallas in 6

Vancouver picked a bad time to take 2 1/2 periods off.

    FLA over NYR in 7
    DAL over EDM in 6

Both FLA and DAL a little too tough for their opponents. Caveat, FLA must stay out of the box or the Blueshirts will make them pay.

Like it is in baseball where the key is pitching, in hockey you need almost perfect goaltending - Florida and Dallas both have the edge.

    Sometimes it's not enough.
The B's were outshot, sometimes massively, in 11 out of the 13 playoff games this year.
Their opponents outshot them by 200 if you include the regular season and postseason.
Either of their goalies could probably be the #1 on just about any team.

I know I"m biased, but I would disagree with Florida. Bob is great of course, but give me Igor any day of the week. Where florida has the advantage IMO is scoring and physicality. Which is why I fear this will be the end of the road for the blueshirts.

Also, I"m rooting for edmonton (I picked them to make the finals from the beginning afterall) but damn does dallas look good.

Didn't believe the Rangers had that type of close checking game in them. This is going to be a good, long series.

Played so much better than the 1st game. FLA is relentless on their forecheck and Rangers matched it pretty well this time. Both goalies have been incredible. I don't care what anyone says, Rempe makes a difference. Especially against a super physical team like the Panthers.

Does Emily Kaplan get her questions from kids in 3rd grade? Also, I can't stand Ray Ferraro.
