    T I L E S: Pretending 2 Run (April 15th)

It took awhile..., but the new T I L E S double album "Pretending 2 Run" will be released through the Laser's Edge on April 15th. It's a 96-minute song cycle that spins the tale of a man blindsided and disillusioned by betrayal - and features a bunch of special guests who helped us branch out into new areas:

Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull), Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Winery Dogs), Adam Holzman (Steven Wilson Band), Mike Stern (Miles Davis), Kim Mitchell (Max Webster), Colin Edwin (Porcupine Tree), Kevin Chown (Tarja Turunen, Chad Smith), Max Portnoy (Next to None), Matthew Parmenter (Discipline), Mark Mikel (Pillbugs), Joe Deninzon, and other notable musicians from the Detroit area.

...we do get around to playing a few instruments ourselves too!

A special pre-order offer is available at: https://www.lasercd.com

We have released a couple of trailers and a single for the curious:

    T I L E S: 'Pretending to Run' Trailer #1

    T I L E S: 'Pretending to Run' Trailer #2

    T I L E S: 'Shelter in Place'

    More information is available at the soon-to-be-revised-but-it-will-have-to-do-for-now T I L E S website.

    Thanks!

These boys have made some decent albums over the years (Presents Of Mind,Flypaper etc),and this will hopefully be the same! Looking forward to this……

Well, I guess I’m a little late to the party. Tiles have been on my radar ever since the last Discipline album, but I guess I never put much effort into exploring further.

Chris Herin’s upcoming solo album shows up in a Laser’s Edge email. I sample the album, like it and determine to finally explore further.

Man, I’m really digging this album! I bought the two Off the Floor releases at the same time (and thanks for the note) but haven’t had a chance to spin them. I can’t take Pretending 2 Run out of rotation.

Well, I hope more people have a chance to check them out.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.

^^^ Thanks for resurrecting this post, Polmico. I've been listening to P2R this evening and it's fantastic. Quite eclectic, especially given their Rush tag (I believe) earlier in their discography. Love the album cover too!

I bought this album when it came out. Gave it a few listens and put it aside. Not because I didn't like it, but just because I had so much else to listen to. Typically I go back to recent purchases after some initial listens followed by a break, but with this one I never did. Rectifying that now! Just finished Disc 1. Very nice modern prog of the same school as Enchant, Spock's Beard et al.

Just dusted this one off thanks to this thread. Would have been better if it was just 1 CD. Lots of filler on Disc 2. That first disc though...some pretty awesome tunes there!
