Enjoyed watching Donald Sutherland since I was a kid and saw Eye of the Needle on TV. Not long after that, we saw him in person at a Canada Day celebration on Parliament Hill in Ottawa. I remember my parents finding that a big deal at the time.

When I hear his name, I often think of his turn as the psychotic arsonist in Backdraft. He was so good.

Yes, I remember him now from ProgDay. I didn't know him more than to say, "Hi." Sad news indeed.

RIP Kurt. I didn't realize that was him until the picture was posted. Always talked to him at a lot of shows we both attended. So sad to lose one of our own. Nice guy, will miss him.

Also RIP Donald Sutherland. Loved him in so many roles, but mostly in Kelly's Heroes and M*A*S*H.

And RIP Willie Mays. The only time I was ever into baseball at all was as a kid in the 70s. He was something special.

Didn't know he was still alive. I went to a few Giants games at Candlestick Park in the 60s and early 70s. Pretty sure I saw him play. I know for sure I saw Willie a few times. RIP to both of them.

I saw Martin Mull solo live back in the 70's. He opened for Melissa Manchester at Smith College in MA (an all-girls school) He was hillarious!!!

My first memories of Martin Mull were from "Mary Hartman". His droll humor was perfect for that show's droll humor. His Wiki page lists bunches of films and TV shows that I watched over the years.
