"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
They're showing M at 9am? That doesn't seem right.
I'm assuming you C&P'd that list from TCM's website. What's weird is the cast list for Maltese Falcon. Gladys George did not have a big part in that movie. And why they didn't list Sidney Greenstreet & Peter Lorre is just odd.
I don't have cable anymore so I can't watch TCM. But I always wanted them to do a day of Greenstreet & Lorre movies. Those two appeared together in nine movies (I just looked it up), often as friends or partners, and were great together.
That's Hedley!
“The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the white zone."
Lorre did a series of detective films playing the character , Mr Moto. He was a Japenese detective who along with keen deductive skills was a judo expert. All the better to apprehend criminals ! IIRC they were mid to late 30's , pre WWII. They were entertaining.
I didn't think the the times were wrong I just think it's strange that, given the subject matter, M would be shown at 9am. And, yes, I noticed they're shown chronologically.
BTW, out of curiosity, I checked what was airing later and noticed this:
4:45 AM Cleopatra Jones (1973)
A female drug agent locks horns with a violent drug dealer.
Dir: Jack Starrett Cast: Tamara Dobson , Bernie Casey , Brenda Sykes .
Which then reminded me of this:
“The red zone is for immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. There is no stopping in the white zone."
Speaking of Mr. Greenstreet, I watched he and Bogart in Conflict, yesterday.
The older I get, the better I was.
Speaking of The Beast with Five Fingers, remember the movie The Hand, with Michael Caine?
Talk Of The Town, The (1942) with Cary Grant , Jean Arthur and Ronald Colman tonight at 8:00 on TCM. This is a classic 4-star comedy.
Also, at 10 PM, one I've never seen, Mr. Lucky (1943) with Grant.
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
TCM (Maltin) gives it three stars.
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
Did anyone happen to catch, On The Waterfront, right after Kong, the other night? I thought the digital print was beautiful.
The older I get, the better I was.
No, but I did watch Kong for probably the 35th time. I notice something different every time I see it. Besides the rather mediocre acting by Robert Armstrong, it's a marvelous movie.
Lou
Looking forward to my day in court.
I watched the second half. What a great film.
"12 Angry Men" is on tomorrow at 6:15 EST after "Citizen Kane" and "The Searchers." (God, we're so lucky to have TCM.) After that is "The Lives of a Bengal Dancer," which is highly rated, but I have never seen. Gary Cooper doesn't do much for me, but I might check it out.
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
I caught the last 25 minutes or so of The Blob on TCM yesterday. Recording 2001: A Space Odyssey today. I know, neither one is B&W!

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
I'm one of the 212.
