Search for "Beatles" in Search Titles Only only brings up 37 threads. How are we expected to compete with Steve Hoffman Music Forums with so few Beatles threads?
What? I'm serious! Who is the better drummer, Ringo Starr or Charlie Watts?

I'd say Ringo was perfect for the Beatles, and Charlie fit the Stones just right
Yeah, Keith Moon is something else altogether. Ringo and Charles are more timekeepers. Nothing wrong with that though and they defenitly did a bit more than just keeping time, but they were less upfront.
It's a bit like Rob Kloet from Nits and Cesar Zuiderwijk from Golden Earring.
Guitar groups are on their way out.
Better to start a thread when you have something to say, maybe?
Wake up to find out that you are the eyes of the world.
Or respond to a thread when you have something to say, hmmm?
I don't mind a Beatles thread, tho I have to admit a lot of the time I have nothing to add, however, the new single strikes me as a money grab, tho an okay song. I thought the same about that CD from years back, Anthology 1 with Free As a Bird on it. A compilation album by the Beatles, released on 20 November 1995 by Apple Records as part of The Beatles Anthology series. It features rarities, outtakes and live performances from the period 1958–64. I thought it was nonessential and a money grab too--not blaming any of the Beatles there, most the record company, but hey, if I were a Beatle, I'd probably say, why not?
While The Beatles was the first band whose music I was into as a kid (especially the more psych stuff) I've never really been very interested in their personal lives or stories for some reason.

The Beatles are one of a handful of bands that I can truly "binge" on - I do not get tired of their songs. When I hear one, I tend to want to hear more. Not all bands do that for me. Just a few: Stones, Yes, Moon Safari, Rush... They are the opposite of most bands that I still love, but can only take in smaller doses. It may have to do with the size or their catalogs. But it also has to do with the breadth of the type of music.

I filled a thumb drive with something like 344 Beatles songs, and play it in my car on shuffle. Hard to believe sometimes that all these great and varied songs are by the same four guys.
Pick One: A Hard Day's Night, Help or Yellow Submarine?
