Ohio University kicking ass in the MAC championship battle for Ohio game this afternoon against Miami Of Ohio. The Bobcats have been to the championship game numerous years, but have never won it, so kind of cool to see them finally get the trophy.

I caught a quarter of the Cyclones@Sun Devils Conf. Championship. Who won?
Nice to see Bama miss out on the playoff

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
I'm one of the 212.
Quite a turnaround from last season. Kenny Dillingham had just been hired as head coach, when school administration sprung on him the fact the school would not even be bowl eligible. Before the first game of the season was even played. In his first press conference after hearing the news, Dillingham's demeanor was that of somebody who just had their life savings stolen. Trying to put on a brave face for the camera.
A former coworker attended Auburn. I would occasionally tease her by saying "roll tide."

I think Ohio State getting a home playoff game is complete crap, but it's going to be fun trolling Bama fans the rest of the season.

Bill Belichick is finalizing a deal to take over the head coaching position at the University of North Carolina. Official announcement coming.
That's pretty odd.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.

I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
I think that Tom Brady's success at TB eats at Belichick. Bill was fired as HC in Cleveland (he released popular QB Bernie Kosar for insubordination). Had a losing record with Bledsoe as QB in New England and then again after Brady left. If he'd done this 10 years... maybe. But his style is never going to go over in the NIL era. His buddy Saban got out of college football because of NIL.
I can't picture crusty, curmudgeonly, brusque Bill being able to relate to today's college-age kids, and vice versa. This looks like a train wreck in the making.
I saw an interesting analysis on ESPN the other day where Jeff Saturday was talking about the Belichick deal and that he would strictly be the coach and they would have a whole separate department of people who would deal with recruiting, NIL, and transfer portal. I am sure Belichick would get final say on some of that stuff, but it sounded like his main focus would just be coaching the players he has available and all the periphery stuff would be done by other people. Whether or not Saturday (who is a NC Grad) knows what he is talking about is up to conjecture.
One interesting (to me) bit of trivia. One of the QBs at UNC is Max Johnson. These are the coaches Max will have played for, to date:
Ed Orgeron (LSU) - national championship winning coach
Jimbo Fisher (A&M) - national championship winning coach
Mack Brown (UNC) - national championship winning coach
Bill Belichick (UNC) - multiple Super Bowl winning coach
That's quite a collection of coaches. Although Max hasn't done anything of note really at any of the stops so far.
He already knows how to recruit. His girlfriend is 24.
A Comfort Zone is not a Life Sentence
The transfer portal strikes again as Marshal pulls out of it’s bowl game as something like 25 of their players are in the portal after their coach bailed for another program. The saddest thing it that they were playing Army, who has had one of their best seasons ever. I am sure a 4-7 opponent will be found, but Army kind of gets screwed out of a good matchup.
In other bowl news my WMU Broncos kick off the bowl season in ESPN tonight in the Salute To Veterans Bowl against University Of South Alabama.
^ Very much looking like two 6-6 teams.
