email from Mary at The ABC)

    Hello dear fans,

I hope you are all well and enjoying the summer we are being treated to.

Funnily enough, I bring news of another treat! But do you want the good news or the bad news first?

The bad news is I haven't got any left because I was remiss and forgot to compose a newsletter. Sorry. The good news is, the currently sold-out 'A Little Man and a House and the Whole World Window' Vinyl Casebound Book will be remade, such is the power of your demand and our recognition of your insane and embarrassing neediness!

    Here's what it looks like:

    Isn't it beautiful?

We hope to have more on sale for Christmas but it is foolhardy to make guarantees. If you cross everything there, we will cross everything here.

    Do we have a deal?

    With much love,
    Mary Wren

Mr. Chapman posted a new one. Grotty and rightly so - what a rancid band! Enjoy.

Tell me about it! This album has been my most played Cardiacs album of the past two or so years, probably along with The Garage Concerts. We're going to get some proper "insider" info and details that would've otherwise gone unnoticed, eh? Excited!

I just happened to wear my daisy shirt to work today - will spin some here in the office.

Given he both came into and left this plane in July, maybe it should just be "Tim Smith Month"...

    3 years gone now. Wow...

Yesterday I happened to be listening to some Cardiacs and OceanLandWorld in the car. I'll continue to do so today.

I had a good blub 3 years ago. I do every year. It hurt immensely. Lucky I could have a great day with him at his facility with friends. He was so wonderful. My son made him laugh so hard his neck almost exploded. Elmo voices with curses got Timmy hurling. What a huge huge loss for the world. Love ya Tim!

Wow man... I didn't realize you got to meet him and spend some time with him. That sounds like a sweet memory. Thank you for sharing.

I still have vibrant memories of so many things that day. My son was in the boot the whole drive to avoid the fuzz busting us for too many people in the rental. He waved at Stonehenge from the dark murky trunk and didn't give a shite - because TIMMY. Funny how landmarks mean nothing when it's a human being of such splendor on the horizon. Sacrifices are epic.

Odd question, but I figure y'all will have an answer. (I suppose I could email the question to Mary and ABC, but I might be ridiculed for doing so, and I shan't have that on my head. Y'all are, of course, free to ridicule me and, hopefully, do!)

Are the Cardiacs t-shirts available through ABC heavy cotton (e.g., Gildan makes a heavy cotton tee) or the thinner stuff? I would like one, but going through the hoops of ordering abroad warrants an answer before purchase. Thanks in advance!

Yep. Quality shirts. I wear mine constantly and they hold up quite well to tons of washes.

So you guys are the guys responsible for the proliferation of the heavy tee. <shakes fist angrily>

Yeah, I’m that oddball who prefers thin t-shirts. A lot of stoner metal bands prefer that style, too. If you’re ever at a show and run into a guy in a black Wo Fat or King Buffalo or The Sword shirt, well, that guy might be me.

Thanks for the info, everyone. Looks like I’ll pass.
