Very nice!! Unhappily most of my reading these days is on AI (for my day job).

If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com
For some real gear porn:
I suppose most are familiar with this, but I had to post it.
I was not familiar with TONTO. I'm not sure how I missed it but that was fascinating. When I first saw this I couldn't watch the video so I looked it up and found this interesting article: https://www.rollingstone.com/feature...-tonto-752161/
Thanks for posting.
Steve Hillage albums - listen to those if you want to hear this synth in action.

Not a great picture, bus still some nice gear porn.
I suppose the picture is from the George Martin book: Making music.
^Nice!
I guess you know Analog Days: The Invention And Impact Of The Moog Synthesizer https://www.amazon.nl/Analog-Days-In.../dp/0674016173
I own that book. What I like about the books from Bjooks is, they are richly illustrated and hardcover. The disadventage might be, they are quite heavy. I own the following books on synthesizers:
The art of electronic music- A Keyboard book
Andy Mackay - Electronic music
Mark Jenkins - Analog synthesizers
Wizoo Guide Nord Modular
Analog days
Synth Gems 1
Inspire the music - 50 years of Roland History
Patch & Tweak Korg

Trying to make some patches from the Patch & Tweak book.
Fun part is there are several differences between the PS-20 and the Korg MS-20. There are more knobs in the software, it has a sub oscilator and a seperate noise generator, the scale of both oscilators ranges from 32" to 4", while the second VCO can also be used as LFO, With the MS-20 the second VCO goes from 16" to 2".

Nostalgia, you know, ain't what it used to be. Furthermore, they tells me, it never was.

Damn goat probably gets way more views than I do
Cherry Audio has a new instrument. This time I get the impression we didn't get some advance video and it's not a synthesizer.

I'm not sure I'm interested in it. I already have the Arturia Wurlitzer.
Yeah...I'm not terribly interested in this one either. The interface is certainly pretty though!

It looks nice, but well, I keep longing for the Behringer MS-5. It's at least much cheaper than the original SH-5, which I saw for prices between € 5,000 and € 6,000 and well you might probably need a technician to keep it in shape.
I have plenty of convincing Wurlies and that's my preference over the Rhodes. I play aggressive electric piano and the Rhodes doesn't cut it.
On another note: https://www.gearnews.com/gforce-soft...m-ob-1-review/
Props for this one. Sounds great with a nice interface. Big fan of GForce and own most of their plugs.

I still stick with Cherry Audio and Arturia.
Not really gear porn, but something that brings questions to me is the price difference between the MiniMoog and the Moog Grandmother and Matriarch. The latter are much cheaper and have more possibilities than the MiniMoog. The only disadventage is perhaps the colorfull looks of the Grandmother and the Matriarch, which are not very appealing.
I had a Wurli back in the day. Primarily because I needed something relatively portable and couldn't afford a Rhodes.

I bought an A-200 from a high school friend around 1979. The built in amp was crap but it still sounded awesome. After a couple years I broke a few tines and couldn't find where to get replacements at the time. My bad. I didn't look hard enough. I do wish I still had it.
That said, i tired out the Cherry Wurlibird. I usually buy their stuff instantly, but I needed to compare it to what I already had. It won. Marginally, but it had a better presence. Since this is an important instrument for me, I want the best sounding one for me. My other go to EPs are Scarbee EP88S and Prominy CP70.

Well, I have Wurli from Arturia and a Wurli in my Nord Electro.
My first electronic piano was a Musinco, that didn't sound as a piano at all. Later I used my Bit99 for piano sounds, which was followed by my Proteus/1. When I finally got a sampler I got even better pianosounds.
