Black Country Communion to Make Another Album

Looks like Hughes and Bonamassa have gotten over their tiff and are ready to rock. Bonham and Sherinian are back as well.

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Wow, the list of swag for sale underneath the new album announcement is, well, astonishing. Is this a band that knows how to market itself? Or is it, like KISS, a marketing firm that created a fake band?

RC, I would attribute that to Bonamassa's unceasing promotion team. Joe never stops working and neither do they. Irritating if you get annoyed by a lot of self-promotion but the relentless thumping of the drum is pretty much necessary for a working musician to stay afloat these days.

Yup, Bonamassa and his promotion team are a textbook on how to do it right in today's music scene. His manager is a marketing master. Regarding BCC this is very very good news IMO. I love the first to BCC albums and the 3rd one, although not as good, has it's moments. Just saw Glenn Huges a couple of months ago and he was gushing about this new project already.

Didn't particularly care for the second album, but really liked the first and third albums. Looking forward to the new one. Auto-buy.

I don't think I knew there was a third album! Agree the second wasn't as good as the first.

The 3rd album is called "Afterglow".

Very nice! Joe's playing s very tastefully restrained, Glenn Hughes can still really belt it out, and Bonham obviously knows how to kick it. Me likey!

Is the other guy Kevin "Caveman" Shirley? I'm going solely on the fact that he looks like a caveman.

I guess I am in the minority but I think the second album was my favorite. Save Me and Faithless were a couple of standouts for me. With each album I have wished that they would use the keyboards a little more, and also have the members sing together a bit more - Bonham can sing as well as Joe, wish they would sing as a group a little more. But I'm in the minority there as well, I think the band likes it the way they have been doing it.

I'm hoping that Joe gets more lead vocals than Glenn...

That's the best tune I've heard from them! Great singing. Yeah, its derivative of Black Dog, but that's OK by me!

Dig it! Caveman on the mix too.

I'm not hearing Black Dog at all. Possibly structure wise but not the riff and drums that Zep did in that song.

The acappella vocal, then the main riff, over and over. Same idea.
