Thread: FEATURED CD: Lift - Caverns Of Your Brain

So does this mean it's also missing two of the tracks from "The Moment of Hearing"? That release has the original album + 5 bonus tracks, none of which are called "Inception".

According to the CD-booklet of Lost And Found Inception (and all other tracks from that 2-CD) were never recorded and released. The only things that were there were old cassette transfers of reel-to-reel recordings of band rehearsals or live performances.

I had this one a long time ago. Too bad it's out of print (not counting one of those expensive Belle Antique reissues- what's up with those anyway?).

I think Japanese people just buy more CDs than people elsewhere (to the point that companies are trying to sell them snake oil like Blue-Spec to get them to re-buy older catalogue releases).

I got this early on while excavating into obscure 70s US progressive (no 'Ameriprog' for me, thanks) back around 1992. It is a fine record, indeed...barring the very poor recording quality which many other US prog bands overcame at the time.
I go, and come back, like memories and symptoms.
I go, and come back, forever, evermore.
Part of me remains abandoned in a circle.
    Part of me moves on.

Are you sure you are writing about the same album (Lift's Caverns ...)? It's recording quality is excellent.

I did not know about this. Chip is even guesting on that track. I wonder how different are these two versions, the one by TSOP and the original Lift's (and how is the sound quality)?

No idea, I only have the Syn-Phonic-version of Caverns Of Your Brain.

It's correct that Chip is guesting. The nice thing about Lost And Found is that from all those bands musicians were involved to participate one way or another.

No...you know, l had another album in mind when l wrote that but now l can't think of what l was confusing it with. I do have the Syn-Phonic release of Caverns... and it sounds terrific.

There are four bonus tracks (download only), of which 3 are on my Japanese mini-LP CD as well, but there is a 20+ minute track Inception, which I don't know anything about. Does anybody know more about it?
Wow, that vinyl reissue looks great! Fantastic cover. Don't see any information on PQR's site about the contents.
I see on there that they have also done a vinyl reissue of Mirthrandir also. I hope the sound quality is good on these, very nice work on the packaging. Gonna keep an eye on this label.
