    Australian curlew.

A very close clone of the African Thick Knee (aka "dikkop") that I'm very familiar with.

Something about these birds makes them adorable! I want to cuddle them.

Cockatoos, native to Australia make for the most affectionate pet birds.

Their call is a standard movie/TV sound effect for depicting a jungle atmosphere, even if in Africa or S. America, despite being an Australian/Indonesian species.

    Hi Chad and all,
Haven’t been on this forum much of late but occasionally check in. Didn’t know there were so many birders here (just seeing this thread for the first time lol)
Birding from before Nearfest time wise, being from Pa have been to most of the hawk watches from Quaker Ridge (ct) to Waggoners Gap (Carlisle, Pa) Also enjoy all types of bird watching. Warblers to waterfowl. Good to see so many proggers here.

A Coopers Hawk lunching on our fence. I call this one “Lunch on the patio”.

It's a little grainy because I took the photo through a window.

I would guess a starling, though I can't find a pic where a starling has the white 'eyebrow'.

Interesting: some googling about starlings revealed that mynah birds are a form of starling.

EDIT: I don't know why this is uploading sideways!
I've found the trick is to crop the photo, just ever so slightly, and upload it again, it will be fixed.
