Was it the Balvenie 15 single barrel aged in sherry casks? If so…

    Glenfarclas 15 or 17
    Glendronach 15 or 18
    Bunnahabhain 12 or 18
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 14 (port) or Lasanta 12
    Edradour 10 or Caledonia
Glenallachie 12, 15 (both not sherry) or whatever you can find
    Glengoyne 15

    Cask strength sherry bombs…

    Aberlour A’Bunadh
    Arran “The Bodega”
    Glenfarclas 105

None of these are too obscure, but you may find only a few of these available depending on your shopping options.

I haven’t had many (as I don’t drink many blends), but Compass Box has a great reputation for their “curated” blends.
I'm not a Blended man either.

Just the better one I tasted, but this one, I wouldn't ever use it in a long drink.

five of my faves (Arran has really gone upwards in my scale of references)
Not sure the last two could be found easily in Continental Europe's corner stores, though.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
