Just had a listen to the latest album from the band BIG SCENIC NOWHERE - their latest THE LONG MORROW. Already mentioned the band in the beginning of this thread with their previous album. This one is a stunner as well, listen especially to the title track. It starts at around 17:09 minute, truly epic track.

Just got around to listening to this album the last couple days. Will definitely be buying. Right up my alley with a good blend of hard rock and psych...and excellent guitar work! Killer epic title track Will be checking out their other album as well.

Potcock is always a nice name too.

Then definitively recommend digging up all of their earlier albums.

If HEAVY is the name of the game do not miss out on Canadian band LOW orbit. A power trio for the first three albums, I believe they recently expanded to the foursome and on tour in Europe. With the heaviness they remind me a bit of the first two Budgie albums (minus the ballads). On their latest album - Crater Creator, the track "Monocle" has a strong Mountain vibe. With the Bandcamp Friday coming up it is a good chance to support this band - they deserve it. Check it out if you are not familiar with the band.

^Good stuff! I could use some extra heaviness in my diet.

Yeah, enjoy Low Orbit a lot. Good stuff to break away for a while from prog rock. Hope you enjoy them as much as I do

Mammoth Volume anyone? Meant to write about this band's latest album already some time ago, but it managed to escape my mind until now. Check out the title "The Cursed Who Perform The Larvagod Rites" - how can you not like it? Took a few listens to fully appreciate this album but then it really hit me. Check it out:

Just got the CD and at the start it sounds great. Btw, tomorrow (8/16), if I remember correctly, at 7 PM, you can join the listening party for its release - RSVP at the following link to join:

I am! They remind me in places of Melvins but like a nerdy, sci-fi Melvins (and I do mean that in a positive way). Definitely looking forward to digging in more.

While I’m here, new Howling Giant single:

    New Green Lung, too:

Ah well. Not stoner but still cool. Definitely a glam feel.

Looks like I'll be seeing Howling Giant in Asheville next month. Really happy to support the band especially given their recent difficulties. (Some wahoo broke into their van and stole their equipment while they were touring Europe.)

The new Green Lung and Howling Giant albums are both in heavy rotation at Polmico Industries these days.

If y'all haven't picked them up, do so! You won't be disappointed.

    Need another new one?

Sons of Arrakis are a Canadian quartet, and, yes, they lean into the whole Dune thing. They recently played some shows with Low Orbit. If you like the latter, you'll likely find something to appreciate in the former.
