    Whoops. Wrong link: https://spaceslug.bandcamp.com/album/out-of-water

The new album from Spaceslug - Out of Water should be on the way to me, yahoo ...

Anyway for anyone who likes Spaceslug you ought to check the band preceding Spaceslug - Palm Desert. Spaceslug's drummer Kamil Ziolkowski was in it. Sadly it seems the band is not active anymore but certainly it is wortwhile to check out their albums and posssibly get them from their bandcamp website while they are still available. They are priced quite low so probably unloading them until they are gone. Check out their last full album - "Pearls from the muddy hollow"

Digging the new Fu Manchu. They stick to their formula which I love and some of the riffs and melodies sound like they were lifted from earlier songs but that's not an issue for me; it's just fun cruising music. The first half of the album is heavy fuzz riffs and the second half is signature FM tunes with the fuzz dialed back, think of the California Crossing album as a reference. Plus some liquid trippy sections which they're also known for...
You say Mega Ultra Deluxe Special Limited Edition Extended Autographed 5-LP, 3-CD, 4-DVD, 2-BlueRay, 4-Cassette, five 8-Track, MP4 Download plus Demos, Outtakes, Booklet, T-Shirt and Guitar Pick Gold-Leafed Box Set Version like it's a bad thing...

This came up on the shuffle today - great song from an uneven album IMO. Heard it's getting a re-release on vinyl.

Good to know. I've always liked their music. Now, if only we still had a record store around here.

We Are Space Horses are a spacey, desert-y three piece from Massachusetts. They remind me favorably of King Buffalo.

Another one with connection to the Spaceslug. The project of Kamil Ziolkowski - a drummer for both Spaceslug and previously mentioned here Palm Desert, started his own band or rather one man orchestra in this particular case. Mountain of Misery is the name of this band / project with already two albums released. Both are available from bandcamp:

New live album from The Sword on its way:

Too bad it’s a comp and not a full show. Still, glad to see a new release from the band.

I'm glad to see that too I thought they had broken up

^They have. They’re playing a one-off (so they say—hope it’s not!) show in November, and they’re releasing this live album in celebration or as overview or preview or whatever. It’s The Sword, so just give me more, and yeah, they better be filming that November show.

I had forgotten all about that Elephant Tree and Lowrider release. Looks like I’ve already ordered it.

One last thing: there are a bunch of great bands touring or about to start touring in America. Green Lung , Domkraft, Dozer, Howling Giant, King Buffalo, probably a few more I’m forgetting. None of the shows have lined up for me which is a bummer. I can’t imagine these smaller bands come here often.

Oh. And Slomosa is the band I was forgetting. They’re in the States right now, and their new album is out and is rad.

Quiet here as if nothing were happening in the stoner scene.

How about them small stoner labels in US? They have been quite busy lately. The labels I have in mind are Small Stone Records, Magnetic Eye Records, Blues Funeral Recordings and then Ripple Music. Not sure Ripple Music qualifies as a small label anymore as they expand their operations (store) over to Europe and then, ufortunately, seem to be the most expensive one to purchase from.

Some of my latest aqusitions are listed below. For begginers Small Stone Records. Have been following their releases for a very long time, although, sometimes lost them from my radar and as now forcing me to do the homework.
    https://smallstone.bandcamp.com/music

The Fall of the Gods - Black Elephant
Ashes and Bone - The Electric Mud
Acido y Puto - Free Ride
    Dismantle - SHUN
    pentasomnia - iota
    An Earlier Time - Sundrifter
3737 - Robots Of The Ancient World
    Wilting Within - Haurun
    SHUN - SHUN
    Doom Machine - Miss Lava
    In The Dark - Abrams

One of the Small Stone Records best ever releases is the album "Cosmic Blues" by Black Elephant. If you do not have it check it out. Looking forward to give their new album "The Fall of the Gods" a spin.

^Wow. That's got a bit of '60s vibe to it. Far out, man.

But seriously, I like it. Thanks for posting it.

Some recent purchases from those three labels.

Small Stone: I recently picked up Acido y Puto by the Spanish band Free Ride. Think laid back west coast fuzzy stuff. Sort of like a sun-fried Weedpecker.
    https://smallstone.bandcamp.com/album/acido-y-puto

Blues Funeral: I struggle to call the new mammoth volume album Raised Up by Witches stoner or even metal. Proggy psych with some heavy fuzz moments? Good enough.https://mammothvolume.bandcamp.com/a...-up-by-witches

Blues Funeral: Horseburner is from West Virginia and play loud and heavy. They're coming through town next month. I should probably check it out.
    https://horseburner.bandcamp.com/album/voice-of-storms

Magnetic Eye: Warped Vision by Psychlona is highly ranked in Doomcharts (actually, all these albums are; it's not too difficult to see how I do my shopping), but I can't get into it. I like the psyched out desert vibes, but the processed vocals rubbed me the wrong way on the first few listens. I'll give it another shot at some point.https://psychlona.bandcamp.com/album/warped-vision

Blues Funeral also put out the most recent delving (Nick DiSalvo's other other band outside of Elder) album.

Bring me a new Brant Bjork music any day, any time. In this case Brant Bjork Trio's new album "Once Upon A Time in the Desert"

^Ach! I forgot about that Brant Bjork album. I've been meaning to pick it up. For people who like obsolete physical media (and who doesn't?), it is available on CD direct from the label (which, as I just found out, is Bjork's label that he is reviving): https://duna.indiemerch.com/products...desert-digipak

Listening to it NOW! Love it so far. Not overly complex but a sound all its own. Very Cool.
