Well, I beato'd my hi-hat with my left foot last night. There was even a PE member in the audience to witness it.

I was there, and I can vouch for the veracity of the hi-hat being beato'd repeatedly with the left foot. I suggest you make a 47-minute video about how you did it in excruciating detail and put it on Youtube. You'll be a sensation!

I like The Beatoles, especially Let it Beato. You really can't Beato them.

But there are so many quick changes and it's such a complex arrangement, it's easy for me to get lost. The little pre-chorus parts throw me off too. Anyone want to tackle it?

i've never been able to 'hear' this right either. and i'm a drummer (at least at heart).

Never heard of him, don’t need to watch videos like the type he apparently makes. Plus the fact he has a Rabid self entitled fan bitching about bands blocking his videos due to copyright. No thanks.

I have enjoyed several of his videos. He is clearly knowledgeable and brings some great insights. But I tire of his constant whining about modern music. He's got way too much "get off my lawn" energy.

^^ going to save this and re-use it down the road when describing some PE posters, so thank you for that
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I watch about one video per 6 months. But what's with the unnecessary video edit cuts that last .000000001 seconds? I keep seeing this everywhere, and it's annoying. I think it's a new "style".

His interview with Derek Trucks a few days ago was terrific. Rick stays out of the way, asks the right questions and has no ego. I watch his videos on occasion. He is a great interviewer.

I hope he told Derek to tone down his overly animated stage antics and just stand still for once

And to stop acknowledging players after they take a fine solo.

He is a good interviewer when he knows the subject well. His interview with Jon Anderson was not one of those, because I honestly don't think he knew more than the superficial everyday stuff about Jon and Yes. So he basically just let Jon ramble for 20 minutes with nothing to show for it. And he definitely has an ego, which I think he feels he's earned. Probably so. With over 3 million subscribers he's doing *something* right.

Rick praises Guthrie Govan. He went and saw the Aristocrats play recently.
