I recently offered Waters, Gilmour and Mason to play at the online party I'm throwing for my cousin's birthday on my YouTube channel.
I had prepared a list of fun covers they could do, including Thriller, Smoke On The Water and Smells like Teen Spirit.
Guess what... They didn't even reply. These old guys are so out of touch with reality. I have more than 1,000 followers.
In the end all is fine, because an AI emulation of the Beatles will take care of the covers. (And my cousin doesn't care for music anyway.)

Biggest names in rock like D.Gilmour don't really need R.Beato's multi-billion watchers YT channel to promote their records.
Also, they receive so many requests than if they accept them all they would end up doing nothing else but interviews.
And last (but not least) as Beato's himself recognize, getting in touch directly with these artists and managing to get through all the blocking obstacles put in place by their management is practically an imposssibility, even for someone as famous as Rick Beato.
Ever tried to get the direct (private) cell phone # of D.Gilmour or M.Jagger ?

you'd expect that enthousiastically aggressive tone & volume from a metalhead, not a proghead.


But then again, I'm not into these opinion-splattering videos (that includes Pardo, and ZombieWoof), as if doing that was making you an authority on the matter.
I'd probably say the same for Popoff's videos if I was into metal music, though he has written a few books (only read his first, which was a disgrace spellin-, syntax- and grammatical-wise) , which does make him an expert of sorts.
I did make an exception for the Tonar/Leroy/Gezou series for Yes, but it was so much more than animating a list of whatevers.

All the more power to them if it works, but no thx for me.

Pardo has published Sea Of Tranquility for years and IMO is totally qualified to have a YouTube opinion channel. I don’t like everything he puts out, but find most of his stuff enjoyable, and he knows what he is talking about.

Popoff has written more than a “few” books. He has published more than 40 books on music. I have read quite a few of them and they are always professionally researched and I find them enjoyable.
