This is EPIC!
Must resist...and listen to whole album upon release...

Was going to post a link about this as soon as I received my Cunei-Letter but just have had absolutely no time.
However, I couldn't resist and listened 3 times while working. Freaking amazing!
I hear a guitar part from the COD days blended in there but with a completely different surrounding context. Very cool!
Personally this is a very good time for me as many of my upper 1A level bands are putting stuff out:
* a little over a year ago we got a very, very good Magma album
* a pretty excellent Univers Zero album last December
* I unexpectedly received the new Sleepytime Gorilla Museum album in my mailbox yesterday. Sounds incredible so far!
* I received the shipping notice on the new Pineapple Thief yesterday also (I know not Avant but I have a soft spot for these guys. Plus I like the 5.1 production)
* Thierry Zaboitzeff has a new one coming out on Feb 9. It features Jean Pierre Suárez on it and there's a sample link on Zab's website that sounds very interesting (can't post because my work computer is blocking me)
* and then the creme de la creme with this new Present following up next month
Thought these kind of days were over so I'm just going to savor every note!
I have now ordered this and wait with unyielding anticipation.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
Never let good music get in the way of making a profit.
I'm only here to reglaze my bathtub.
Leaving my official review here:
Holllleeee Ffffuuukkkk!!!
I envy you practitioners of the physical release! I must wait until late March for the bandcamp digital download.
Neil
I received the CD in my mail yesterday to my great surprise. I completely forgot that I contributed to the crowdfunding campaign years ago.
Had my first spin yesterday : an incredibly wild and intense affair; Just what I hoped to get from a Present album. The guitar of Roger Trigaux really shines on this album. Looking forward to many many more spins.

Info like this (i.e. the existence of the amazing Toubifri Orchestra) is why I love this forum so much! Ordered their CDs immediately, and just spent a very enjoyable weekend getting acquainted with them. To me, they work in the same delicious grey area as the Monika Roscher Big Band - some Jazz, some Rock, some general craziness - but they are definitely their own (and very French) thing.

I'm gonna jump on this one (if they press a CD)
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
The more I hear the album the more I like it.
I would even claim this is my favorite after Triskaidekaphobie and Le poison qui rend fou
It is THAT good. First absolute highlight of the year.
Just based on one spin I'm thinking this will be a top three Present album for me but I need to spend some time with it. Pretty impressive though.

The new album smokes. Our own Udi has done wonders with the sound in it.
Sorry for the slight detour (but it does kinda pertain to this):
is it possible to add photos here from my Android phone?
^ I wouldn't see why not. Probably have to use full site mode, rather than mobile version.
Is it Roger's voice in This Is Not The End part I ? Sounds like a message from the beyond.
