I agree with everything you said. And I like that, with the extra 30 minutes, they brought back separate reward and immunity challenges. It gives the cast a chance to spend some time together strategizing before they know who has immunity. I like the added unknown to the strategy, since everyone seems to know who has what advantage.

The producers seem to have cut back a bit on the sappy sob stories this year too and the idols / advantages seem a bit less complicated and less manipulative than recent years. I hope this trend continues.

I have Austin in the survivor pool this time around so rooting for him at this point.
Austin deserves to lose because he is thinking with his penis instead of his head.

    Two other points:

Emily should have thrown a vote on someone (ideally Dee) when Caleb played his shot in the dark and won.

    Dee is going to win.

So. Many. Comebacks. Must. Restrain. Myself.

I'm glad Dee didn't tell him about the vote to get rid of Drew. I would have been very disappointed if she had repeated Austin's mistake from the week before. I'd love to see her win, just for that ability to keep her eye on the prize and keep her mouth shut.

I like Austin--I guy who follows his heart (or other parts of his anatomy!) But yeah, I'd say Dee is playing the best game, and deserves the win.

In the end I think Dee deserved to win. Austin got more votes than I expected him to get. The Boston guy (can't remember his name off the top of my head) made some dumb moves at the end and Kathura didn't have a chance.

All in all it was one of the more enjoyable seasons in quite a while.

Yup. I don't think she would have beat Austin or Julie. But she definitely screwed herself by not taking out Dee.

I agree. I enjoyed this season. I was surprised at how well spoken Austin was at the final TC. I don't know why, but I was not expecting that. I enjoyed the banter between him and Dee as they both told their stories at the same time trying to make their case. The back and forth points was very entertaining.

You could see Jake realize during TC that he wasn't even in the running. People asked him a few questions early on, but it quickly became apparent that the decision was between Dee and Austin, as Jake sat silently and watched. I don't think he went in to TC thinking he had a chance, but you can almost see the moment he clued in and took a backseat. He seemed genuinely happy for Dee. He didn't get to play the game he wanted to play, and I wouldn't mind seeing him come back for another go at it, at some point.

I really wanted to see what would happen if the vote was tied.

Has that ever happened? I can't remember.

I don't think so. Not for the winner.

EDIT: I stand corrected. I don't remember that.

For the most part I enjoyed it, however, got a bit bored during the Q & A with the jurors.

We've been watching. I was so ready for Bhanu to go last night.

I found it interesting that they didn't have TC. Usually when someone is medically removed, the TC still continues IIRC.

I assume they have their picked moments where they want multiple people to go and this just didn't fit that timeline. Or they just wanted Bhanu to stay a little longer.

Not one idol played so far and four people voted out with idols in their pockets. This is the season of blindsides.

Pretty interesting season so far. No one super annoying this year and they seem to have backed off a bit on the sob stories.

Yep - this has been the season of idols being firmly lodged in pockets!

I guess I'm down for Q this season, tho I can't believe Maria had such a hard time picking the third person to eat pizza. Ya'll want to chip in a little money so Liz can do a poop? I can't imagine going on that show with so many allergies. Another idol lost.

This is a pretty wide open season. I think anyone could win it at this point as they are all good players. Ben is the only one that seems to have kind of glided through a bit, but I would not count him out either.

I think it must be, in addition to getting to final six without an idol being played. I can't believe Venus didn't play it with all the times her name was written down.

You would think by now that if someone has an idol, they should use it.
