Your work is terrific. Thanks for sharing. My Eve IONA bass, from Scotland, has a Sapele neck. https://www.notreble.com/buzz/2014/1...ces-iona-bass/

One of these would have been perfect for my new Kindle. I already bought a stand. Nothing as beautiful as this. Purely functional.

Finally finished the cherry/epoxy table. I’m exhausted. The base is made with mahogany, walnut & cherry. I like the base better than the top. LOL

I just back from delivering for the guy who commissioned the piece! He’s happy with it & wants a few other things made.

Found a wood worker guy in the Port area of Tacoma selling some slabs. Great guy! He sold me a slab for $100 that he thought was walnut. Turned out it is Osage. He said, “You just paid $100 for a $600 slab.” Ha!
This is gonna be a gorgeous table! Heavy as fuck!

I am no longer a beginner in working with wood, but I am not a professional yet. This activity is very interesting to me. I already tried to make bookshelves, I polished the wood by hand, and then I bought a sander. I even reviewed it on sanders, but I'm not sure I added examples of the best tools for use at home. I would like to ask for help from people who are more experienced in this matter. Please look at this article https://homemakerguide.com/best-sander/ and tell me if you can remove some models and add others instead?

I would probably go with a palm sander like the B&D Orbit or Skil random orbit.
If you need it for just a few things it will do the trick. They are generally available at most hardware or Lowes or Home Depot. Maybe even Target or Walmart.
An upgrade would be the Dewalt ( same company as B&D ).
If you feel that later on it is a tool that you would use a lot, then the Makita would be the one.

I’ve been upgrading all my power tools to Dewalt. They just seem to last longer with fewer issues. Also, I’d go with a corded sander rather than cordless.

Thanks for the recommendations. I do not work much with wood yet, but I think that in the future, with the development of a skill, it will be possible to make some products to order. Why not? Furniture is always needed, especially if it is of high quality and at a reasonable price.

A prior customer commissioned a few live-edge pieces. I installed a bathroom vanity countertop & two 45” shelves. It took a bit, but came out nicely!

Finally getting some work done on my bass! I decided to make my own pickguard. Cherry! I think the woods will match up well once I add the finish, Tru-Oil.

Just made a couple of Jazz Bass pickguards for a friend. He’s going to use epoxy with color to fill in the burned areas.

You’ll have to look closely for the inlay. I used the malachite & copper to fill cracks & voids.
