    RIP

I saw him in a tiny club in New Rochelle NY in 1981.

He had around twenty cables coming out of his guitars output.
no tunes, no dynamics, no nosebone

Yup. Saw him a couple of times with his band Golden Dragon. He opened with a solo set playing an immense prototype of a guitar synthesizer he developed.

Never heard of Ryo Kawasaki, but last week I saw a re-release from 2022 of his Juice-album from 1976, featuring Hugh McCracken, Tom Coster, Mike Lipskin, Andy Laverne, Su Woods, Jimmie Young, Muhammad Abdullah and Sam Morrison.
I like this early fusion-stuff, which still has enough jazzrock to get excited.
Like Ken wrote Kawasaki plays some synths he developed himself.

Somehow I had missed that he passed away.

Got his album Juice and it’s really good.
