Ordered the box on January 18 and according to USPS:

Your item was processed through our CHICAGO IL INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER facility on February 2, 2021 at 9:25 am. The item is currently in transit to the destination.

Well, you can say I got used to wait for my US-orders (But it's when friends nearby have the box for 2 week now...)

Seeing this whole thread history, was gonna ask about the printing errors at some point. I'm very satisfied of the 2020 remasters of the albums. Can't wait for the Kai boxset to drop.

Even better, the box can fit those 2 old masters snugly too!

It arrived finally last Friday! Very nice box-set (which has even room for the 2012-disks ).
I love the fresh new mastering of the albums.

I found it excellent as well.
BTW there is bonus footage of the interviews (Leonard, Pratt, McLeod) in a link below the video, in case somebody has missed that.

Wow, that was funny and interesting at the same time. Great to hear the story by almost all involved.
Coincidentak I listened to Toy Matinee last week; that DVD-A with the 5.1 surround mix shows you so many details!
Now I have to listen to Tim's Guitar Land again (featuring Kevin Gilbert, Patrick Leonard and Brian MacLeod, so almost the complete Toy Matinee!)

    "de-progressing"?

Great video - so cool to hear memories from all those involved. And Tim Pierce is a bad mofo.

The line "We will have updates soon regarding The Shaming of The True vinyl, as well as the Call Me Kai 4 CD set. Thank you for your continued support!" was written on http://kevingilbert.com/ for quite some time, so this ^^ is a welcome update! Thanks.

B.t.w. I never knew Giraffe covered Peter Gabriel's "I Go Swimming". Nice to see it on the DVD.

new podcast about Call Me Kai

Just a little mistake at ~49 minutes by Mark:
It's not Larks' Tongues in Aspic, that is not on the King Crimson album of the same name, neither is it Starless in Bible Black, but Starless (originally to be called indeed Starless in Bible Black) that ended up on Red.
    Sorry for nit-picking

You will find minor errors within each episode as each is recorded live and not edited for mistakes.

Yeah, I totally understand this, I just went with the flow of this site to point out minutiae.
The notion of e.g. corrective subtitles like "[sic]" or "well actually he meant…" in this format is ridiculous.

If I may bother you with a few more relevant questions:

    - Are there maybe plans for an episode with Robert A. Ferris? There's so little info about him, although the very few things one can listen to are so promising.

    - Having missed out on the Giraffe box (busy weekend back in February), the Wallet edition seems to be very close in essence.
    Comparing this:
    https://popplusone.com/products/gira...37372453748900
    with this:
    https://popplusone.com/collections/k...ffe-wallet-set
I am actually hard pressed to spot the difference…

Also, in case you might know, is there a way to find out about shipping costs to Europe without having to e-mail PopPlusOne?
(I recently ordered the Failure to Fracture book from Makeweirdmusic and the 38€ felt 'ouch' to me, although it could well be that this is a normal sum nowadays.)

In any case, thanks for this series, you are a great presenter topping many if not most YT moderators

Oh, I cringe when I am editing and I hear some errors. Definitely note them for accuracy check.

Robert and I have been in contact for a while and he has an open invitation. Robert has kept a somewhat secluded life away from social media and values his privacy. He did like how the Giraffe box set came out.

One is a box, the other a wallet. The box comes with each disc individually packaged within. The other set has everything enclosed within wallet-style packaging. All front/back cover artwork is represented in both -- there is actually a method in opening the packaging that represents the order the albums were released. The 24-page booklet contains the exact same contents as the box set version, although it has been reformatted to fit the wallet size. Compare the product pics in your links to see the differences.

In this pic I shot, the bottom is the box set.

Just how it is. Recently I sent small 2 CD packages to the UK from the west coast of USA and it was $25-$30 shipping for each. Ask PopPlusOne for true rates. Rates have skyrocketed within the last few years.

Also to note: the price tag on these sets have been kept as low as possible largely due to the successful crowdfunding model that we ran. We plan on starting another round of those to help offset future production costs. As an example of how the crowdfunding helped the Giraffe wallet set... when you open the set the discs are within the wallet. The backing where the discs are enclosed and the connecting backing spine is referred to as gutters. Gutters are usually standard white. It costs extra to fill the gutters. The crowdfunding allowed us to fill the gutters with solid yellow and the giraffe pattern.

It definitely adds to the packaging and the cost was not reflected on the consumer's end.
For Call Me Kai, filling the gutters was not necessary due to the art design.

Thanks! Our goal is to pack each episode as a mini-documentary with the guest adding their piece of the equation. Some episodes will contain a lot of peripheral content, while others will not have much due to lack of available media. We have a few episodes filmed and in the editing stages that should start to appear within the next few weeks. I will probably run the NRG episode next, as it falls in line with the Kai/Giraffe releases. Then, it will be time to release episode 07... which is turning out to be my personal top pick of the series.

Thanks a lot for this exhaustive answer to all my questions – I am relieved that the box I've missed out on hasn't got that much over the other edition.
And also for pointing out the little details that went into it, as well as the new world of post(al)-modernity. I definitely don't want to appear as a bean-counter, especially when there is no choice, really.
(Of course it's not very helpful in stopping the decline of physical media, if sending them costs more than the item itself)
So it seems it's time to bite the… wallet (in both senses of the word) very soon

Got the Call Me "KAI"-set today. Wow, that's some impressive stuff, considering how young he was doing those recordings.

David Baerwald & NFU "A Fine Mess" 2 CD Set

Some Kevin Gilbert related music available in short supply:

Many years ago I helped Baerwald assemble and distribute this run of CD sets. There have been a lot of newer KG fans that might not have grabbed this when it was made available. They sold out very quickly. I am releasing my personal stock to those who missed the initial run. These were selling for $250+ dollars some years ago on secondary markets. I rather they get into hands of true fans and not with a premium price tag. If anyone is interested, they are $40 shipped (30+10priority, they are large at 6" x 12") -- international is definitely higher. PM if interested.

Kevin's keyboard work is featured prominently in "The Church Of No Religion." There are also tracks that came from the Tuesday Music Club sessions included.

This edition of David Baerwald & The New Folk Underground's A Fine Mess is numbered and signed by David Baerwald.
Contains 2 CDs, 28 tracks, and 18 page lyric booklet.
