Somehow I'd overlooked this one. I really like Scott Kinsey, so thanks for bringing this one to my attention!

Excellent track and thanks for sharing. If that was indeed recorded in 1984 then the drummer must be Clark Tracey. He more than holds his own in such illustrious company as Babbington, Themen and his dad.

    Sweet!

"Under Milk Wood' is considered one of the finest British jazz albums ever made, an effortlessly iconic masterpiece that encapsulates the heady '60s jazz boom."

I think I missed the memo on how to embed a Bandcamp link, but I just wanted to recommend the new Alfa Mist album Variables, I picked up the vinyl two days ago and I can't stop playing it. I've just seen that he's playing a festival date an hour away from me next month, so I snagged a pair of tickets too, can't wait.

A classic. Stan had many memorable albums though! I saw him live quite a few times and he never disappointed. Any British jazz fan of a certain vintage would say the same. One highlight was seeing him do a fully improv piano duo with Keith Tippett.

Alan Skidmore has just released a six-CD boxset of recordings from 1961 to 2019 taken from his private archive. It is available from Confront Recordings and includes tracks with the usual suspects - including Dave Holland, Kenny Wheeler, John Surman etc - and some unusual ones - including Wayne Shorter and Joe Zawinul. Unfortunately, there aren't any tracks to listen to but the boxset looks a good one.
