Morris Pert's Elektron Music and Chromosphere

I've recently been digging into his extraordinary solo work and that with Sun Treader.

What I recently realized is there were two albums released in the late 2000s titled Elektron Music and Chromosphere.

There are several references online, and in Wayback Machine, but there seems to be no way to purchase this music anywhere. It's as if it never existed.

Evidence I haven't lost my mind is here:

    Elektron Musik: https://web.archive.org/web/20080821...tronmusik.html

    Chromosphere: https://web.archive.org/web/20110714...orrismerch.htm

I'm curious if anyone ever purchased these or have any idea if there's someone in the world that still sells them physically or digitally?

    Thanks

I somehow missed those as well. I'm pretty sure the only physical copies of Chromosphere are vinyl copies and those can be had in all the usual places - Discogs, etc. It appears Elektron Music has only been download or physically as a CD-R. I found no official CD-R's for sale anywhere.

At some point they were both available for purchase on iTunes and even streaming.

But they are no longer available anywhere. Very strange.

I purchased at least those 2, I thought there were a few more. I think they were purchased directly from Morris while he was still alive ante 2010, very low production. Websites stay up for many years after funding has ceased, web companies just forget they are there.

If you click here, it shows those and a couple other titles along with an email address to contact. Maybe its worth an email?

Thanks -- I did email, but no reply. It's a 14-year old email though...

Incredibly, I heard from Ian Campbell, who used to work with Morris.

Ian has a limited number of Chromosphere CDs left. If you have any interest, you can write him directly at: blackpark@btinternet.com

He is charging £10 with shipping.

    Hello there,
I'm Ian Campbell. I worked with Morris Pert, we first produced a charity cassette "The Big Wave"
with local musicians from the Scottish North West coast, Morris accompanying accordions, bagpipes, etc.
He contributed two tracks "Anthem For The Cruthin" and "The Leaving of Lewis".
We released " The Voyage" "Music Of Stars" " Desert Dances " and " Chromosphere" as physical discs and " Elektron Music"
as a burn to order disc. Mr Pert was a remarkable man, he played with us at ceilidhs, played in the Kinlochbervie church, played in his
    wee studio at Balcrick.
I still have copies of these discs and if any would like a copy they are £10,00 post free in the UK
I will get back with cost of postage from anywhere else.

Thanks for the interest in Morris Pert Music
    all the best

    Ian,

My CD of Chromosphere arrived in the U.S. today. Thanks for the fast, professional service.

I just added the three albums on Spotify, Desert Dances, The Voyage, and The Music Of Stars. I've never heard any of his solo albums.
    What is Chromosphere like?
