Excellent clips. I am looking forward to your interview.
We walked arm in arm with madness, and every little breeze whispered of the secret love we had for our disease (P. Blegvad)
I remember buying this one when it was released excited for what it may hold. But to my ears it was very underwhelming.. Gotta admit I gave it one listen and never played it again. Is this the one you are talking about? Or perhaps they did another I missed..

Re Wetton Manzenera , was disappointed , I did like the opener It’s Just Love but the rest was not memorable and too many track titles that are just choruses . JW kept doing tracks with women’s names as the chorus . Like Whites drum sound on the album .

''A career-spanning Phil Manzanera box set, 50 Years Of Music, is to be released through Universal Records on November 1.
The 11-disc set contains all ten of Roxy Music guitarist Manzanera's solo studio albums (as opposed to collaborative albums), from 1975's Diamond Head through to 2015's Sound Of Blue, all featuring rare and previously unreleased material, plus a bonus disc, Rare Two, a personally curated collection of 10 unreleased songs, demos, live tracks, and two rarities from Phil’s archive.
(...)
The albums have been remastered by Alchemy Mastering’s Barry Grint at London’s renowned Air Studios, overseen by Manzanera himself. There is also a 100-page book featuring photos, handwritten notes, tape boxes, scribbles, clippings, alternate artwork, lyrics, compositions and thoughts, as well as the original album booklets.''
What's the wisdom on the sound of earlier remasters vs. the first CD editions ?

Phil’s memoir, “Revolución to Roxy”, was published earlier this year. It’s on my list to get, but haven’t picked it up yet. Anyone read this yet?
I want to get it, but about the time the book was released our region's last and only independent book store went out of business. I'm not interested in doing business with amazon. I have one other possibility of ordering it at a bookstore. It may be a while before the book is available to me.
What we feel we have to solve is why the dregs have not dissolved.
Listen Now is far and away my favorite, partly due to notable contributions by Godley & Creme and Bill McCormick.
801 Live is also a favorite, followed by Primitive Guitars and K-Scope.
I go, and come back, like memories and symptoms.
I go, and come back, forever, evermore.
Part of me remains abandoned in a circle.
Part of me moves on.
Both 801 albums, Quiet Sun and Diamond Head (all great) are the only ones I own, and TBH, I'm not sure I need something else from Manza, do I?
TBH, the only one I spun in the last decade is QS.
Unless someone has suggestions.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.
Per the box set track list (at the above linked site), the 2 bonus tracks on the 2000 Expression reissue of "Primitive Guitars" (Criollo (French Remix) and Frontera (Instrumental Version)) are NOT in the box set!
