    Babylon 5 Reboot!

My fave SF series. I love me my JMS so I'm in.

I love me some JMS - but I am not psyched for any attempt to "improve" something generally considered a pinnacle in it's field/genre.

And if it's raison d'etre is not to improve, which would be challenging to say the least, then it's a retread.

    Just no need IMO.

The story could be tweaked (season 5 was a mess because they thought they were done in season 4), dialog could certainly be improved, the set design and effects would greatly benefit from an upgrade. But some members of the cast will never be equaled (Katsulis, Jurasik, Furst). And I really don't want 5 seasons of a story I know really well.

B5 is my favorite series ever. But yes, Season 5 was a bit of a mess.
From my understanding, JMS is taking the show in a different direction. I freaked when I saw they were rebooting it. They'll never match the skill or writing of that show. But it's JMS. It's his show. I really don't think he's gonna make a mess and I have high hopes.
I was never so stoked week to week over a TV show like this.
Anyway, I wonder if the actors auditioning know about the Babylon Curse?! Seems like at least Claudia is involved somehow.

This is the best shot for B5 to have a future. I can’t wait…

It sounds like most of the surviving cast members have been contacted by JMS and asked to be involved in some way. They all seem to be good friends to this day, so hopefully that is a good sign.

curious, and maybe in some ways it'll be like JMS's The Nex Generation.

I wonder if Christopher Franke comes back to score the series again.

I think he's done scoring. He's into chilling.

And, yes, I'll be tuning in!
