Great review! Thanks for posting the link. Greep is playing about 10 minutes from my house in February at Bell's Brewery which is a small 400 people max venue. I am curious as to what his live band will sound like (I have looked at some YouTube videos) and looking forward to seeing him in such an intimate venue.

Yes. I have not bought a ticket yet as I need to make sure my newly replaced knee is in good enough shape (it will be a standing show), but I am pretty sure I will be able to make it.

I saw Black Midi at Bell's summer of 2023. It was outdoors in their beer garden, so a much larger venue than their indoor space. I find their albums hit and miss, but live they were great. Geordie's solo album is rather out there, but it has really grown on me. There are definitely elements of Black Midi in his music, but I hear some different influences as well. Hard to describe.

I really like Black Midi, but I like Greep's new album even more.

I've tried but it doesn't come close to any of the black midi for me. YMMV.
